Seems to be accepted in some quarters Crouch might be out. Not sure Kuyt's anymore effective than him to be honest and I bet Crouch will outscore him over most seasons in this country. Personally i'm a big fan of both but this Voronin bloke has really thrown things cos i reckon we'll sign a major striker and bellamy has been our best one so far so he'll stay.

I really don't understand why people are on Kuyt's back. He and Rooney score a similar amount of goals, but Rooney is world class and Kuyt "needs to get into the box more"

it's because some liverpool fans are really stupid.

to be fair, most manu fans would probably agree rooney has been fairly poor this season.

Kuyt wins due to his extra mobility. Which is vital in the modern game.

He needs to take a higher percentage of his chances though, which i think will happen from next season

Is saying he and Crouch are equally good being on his back?

With better wingers and another striker to take the goalscoring pressure, Kuyt will be regarded as one of the best forwards in the game next year.

Or Crouch will.

Comparing Kuyt to Rooney is surely a joke, the big fat gypo is better at so many things and I can't think of one that Dirk has over him. Longer hair maybe...

would rather keep crouch and kuyt......getting rid of both bellamy and fowler..

Think crouch is a fantastic option, who will only get better.....kuyt a different type of player who will come into his own when paired with a true predator..

Bellamy has done well this season, still hes never gonna score enough goals....we can get a similar player who`ll bring more goals.

If I had to choose between the 2 it would be Kuyt for me. He offers us more all round imo, he is full of energy and also mobile. I know Crouch is a big target man (who at times cant head for s***) but apart from that 1 dimension he doesnt offer much else.

i think this is spot on. kuyt's a clever footballer and is still working this league and opponents out. give him a chance.

have you watched us this season??? Crouch offers far more than what you`ve said......AND for me shows unbelievable improvement with every passing season(judging by his seasons with southampton, last with us and current), which seems obvious to me that he is dedicated trainer, quick learner...and a player that will only get better.

Go on then who? Who is better than Bellamy, bearing in mind we paid £6M for him, and that we can realistically afford?

Why will Kuyt come into his own with a predator and why won't Bellamy?

Bellamy works just as hard as Kuyt does, Bellamy is much faster, already adjusted to the PL, has better touch and control than Kuyt. At least on the evidence we've seen so far this season.

Keep them both.

kuyt stretches the defense more than crouch - which (IMHO) is more of the type of player that Rafa wants. Crouch gives us a different dimension. directly comparing the two is foolish as they bring different things to the game, which in turn offers more options to the manager.

then why are some saying we are getting rid of crouch.

I don't think kuyt stretches it. He drops deep. crouch stays up top more

lets think about it this way,

is Voronin as good a Crouch ? is Voronin as good as Kuyt ?

Voronin will fill many roles at Anfield, but one of those will be to allow Crouch to go to NUFC or Spurs and Liverpool to buy a better quality player - if he's off to Spurs I hope its in part-ex for Lennon

I really like Crouchie and have defended him many times on here this season; but the simple fact is that if we bring in the top class striker everyone is hoping for, the player most vulnerable will be him.

It's not hard to work out; Rafa chased Kuyt for years, has just got his man less than a year ago and has consistently played him and Bellamy in the most important games. With Vornonin being signed that throws out the chances of keeping Kuyt, Bellamy, Crouch and signing a top class striker (which I must admit was what I was hoping).

I think as with Hamann Rafa will sit down with Crouch in the summer and say he'd like to keep him but his number of games may be limited. He has a great attitude and clearly loves playing so I think as with Didi he'll want to leave rather than sit on the bench all season.

I'd be sad to see him go, but it may be the reality come the summer.

I think when Rafa signed Crouch, most people accepted that he was probably Rafa's 2nd choice after Kuyt, which tends to suggest that Rafa will keep Kuyt before Crouch.

I also think Bellamy offers the speedy forward that can harrass defences for 90 minutes, hence first line of defence is up front.
