Time to move on from yesterday and look forward to Tuesday.

My shout for the line-up against Barca:

Reina

Finnan Carragher Agger Arbeloa

Gerrard Alonso Mascherano Riise

Bellamy Kuyt

Subs: Dudek, Hyypia, Sissoko, Pennant, Gonzalez, Crouch, Fowler

Mostly what i'd play except i'd consider leaving Bellamy out till they are (hopefully) chasing the game and leaving more space

One thing we need to do against them is hold onto the ball and Crouch would help us do that better

----------Arbeloa---Carragher---Agger----------

Finnan----------------------------------------Riise

--------------------Mascherano-------------------

--------------Sissoko-------Alonso---------------

Unorthodox :)

Bellamy on when they are tiring and leaving spaces hopefully. Maybe Aurelio for Riise but he's only just back from injury, also you could swap Hyypia with Arbeloa but that's the way I'd line up, if I had the balls...

Gerrard should be back in the middle. We'd have beaten that shower yesterday if he'd played there. He's wasted out wide.

That would probably be my side aswell. Playing Crouch is alright but i have memories of the game against Spain where Puyol and the other t**t battered him and yet kept winning free-kicks because the continental ref didn't know what he was doing. " Big Englishman, Small Spaniard. Free-kick to Spain "

I would have thought they have to chase the game from the start.

In any case, Bellamy should start because he is our best striker.

Reina

Finnan Agger Carra Riise

Pennant Gerrard Alonso Aurelio

Bellamy Crouch

I would be tempted to sit Kuyt an Momo and use them in the second half. I would love to see Pennant get at their fullbacks.

I would go at them, just like we did against Juventus this time around last year.

Reina

Finnan Carra Agger Riise

Alonso Sissoko

Gerrard

Kuyt Crouch Bellamy

Could have sworn we played Juventus in the quarter final. Two years ago.

Yeah you're right,

DONT POST WHILE HIGH....

Ah, that explains the team selection.

I assume you were high when posting all that crap after the match yesterday too... ;)

The main thing for me is how we approach the game. Do we sit back and hit on the break or do we go for the win ?

The first goal is crucial in this one, I've got a gut feeling it'll be extra-time and pens.

First goal is crucial if they score it. If we score it it doesn't really change things for Barca. They still need two to stay alive.

I can see extra time as well.

A slow-paced, boring, dull 0-0 would be nice.

Somehow with Ronaldinho and Etoo on the park, a 0-0 is probably the least expected result.

No I was hurt and frustrated. I might not be living in Liverpool, or England for that matter, but it still hurts. Couldn't sleep the day before, and couldn't sit down during the game. And yes the frustration went overboard. But I still feel we should surprise Barca. If we get one, there is no way in hell that we will concede three. Oh, and Barca's defence is terrible so let's exploid that.

Fair enough mate. May not have agreed with much of what you said but I understand the hurt, frustration and nerves.

As for the Barca match, I actually agree that we should go at them like we did to Juve and but not with 3 up front. We still need to keep it solid.

I don't think it will be that difficult to be honest. I'm not saying that it would be easy but judging by the latest games from both teams it seems that Barca lacks confidence and the ability to break us down. United couldn't and Barca couldn't at home. We just need to keep it tight and put pressure on their horrible defense. Also I'm certain that you and the other 40. some thousand scousers will make sure that this will be another "famous" night at Anfield.
