Played them off the park even when realistically they were the only ones who had something to play for. Hate to lose to them but I'm over this much quicker than I have ever been before. Our big games this season will now be on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

i am glad that someone is over it.

we had pride to play for, we had an unbeaten run to play for, we had a no goals against streak to play for. we still have to make sure we get 4th place, just in case.

i am not over it, my wife has called me a sulking child this afternoon and left me on my own to wallow in my self pity. that actually worked out Ok as I was able to watch the basketball, baseball, footy and golf without any moaning.

I'm not totally over it but agree with where kieran is coming from. It was a sh*t result were by far the better team lost - they know it and those of us not interested in wallowing in self pity know it too. I have no problem with the display the team put up today, but will add this...

In the summer, Rafa will have real money to spend.

Does that mean next year is our year to spawn undeserved wins?

I kind of agree with Kieran, if the top few teams were closer (i.e not 3 wins apart) and we lost, then I definately would still be annoyed and probably putting my head into my pillow screaming. However, I felt this title was over a good few weeks back, and we were battling for 3rd.

I looked at the league before, and Arsenal have 2 games in hand and are one point behind. So now I feel we're battling for 4th place instead (as usual). As long as we give Arsenal a run for 3rd place, I'm happy.

On the other hand though, Nebraska is right... we lost a lot today, our unbeaten run, our 0 goals against streak...

Bring on the c**** in the Champions League. Dominating England is one thing, beating Europe is another.

I don't see the difference between 3rd or 4th. Yesterday was a gutting game but very predictable.

I thought we'd get done 1-0 as the game went on with exactly the kind of goal they scored which made it worse.

Saying that we played really well but we are a very frustrating team in the final 3rd. I wonder why we're bringing in this other forward to be honest. He's another forward just below that top quality and we have them already. We need a RVN, a Fowler aged 22 or and Owen circa 2001 not another link up 10 goal a season forward.

Our dead ball ability and complete s***ness at corners cost us big time. We were all over them and only tested their goalie once with Crouchy's effort.

A win v Barca and this low blow will almost be forgotten.

I won't be over it for several days.

We didn't get outfought, outplayed or outclassed...we were the better side. Bellamy's pass is a touch lighter and it's 1 nil.

This isn't one of those losses where you rip the team apart, pinpointing our weaknesses. It was a smash and grab and as such the wound is not as deep.

That said, i still do not ' love ' the partnership of Xabi and Momo in the middle. Too little forward thrust but Momo has to learn somehow, i suppose. When Vieira played with Petit, it was the former went forward most. When Petit left for Barca in 2000, Vieira played a more disciplined role. Arsenal also had Garde and Grimandi to help out in midfield.

Early in the season, both Xabi and Sissoko went through poor spells yet we didn't really have anyone to replace them.

We need a new left back, a new midfielder ( Mascherano ), someone similar in class to Ronaldo ( i hate the c**t but with the ball at his feet he's become an incredible player. The pass to Larsson yesterday when offbalance was superb ) and a goalscorer. A reliable one. Voronin, Crouch, Bellamy, Kuyt is a nice mixture but i think we need someone on a level above any of them.
