I think the Carra of old has returned for the first time this season.

 

The past 4 or 5 games he's been immense at the back. A stark contrast to the Carra of the start of the season..someone who I felt was the weakest link in our back four (even ahead of Riise/Aurelio).

I think he's been far better recently. I worry occasionally that he tries to throw himself into too much - there were a couple of occasions against Spurs where he was chucking himself at the ball and getting in the way of his teammates. Sissoko was doing this a bit too before he got injured.

Yeah, i think the improvement in his form has had a major influence behind our recent cleansheets. Better communication between players now. There were some basic errors being made a few months ago that have disappeared.

Sami and Carra reduced Bolton's forwards to the occasional header/tackle/foul in 90 mins. They were excellent. Finnan was boss too

Much better performance than earlier this season. Still, I think he gives away far too many corners just to play it safe.

Yes he is. Against Spurs he was immense, against Bolton he did everything well.

He had been back for a while, certainly a couple of months, but I thought he looked unsure and jumpy against Watford. Back to his majestic, if untested, best against Bolton though.
