Exciting times.

You got a pict or a clip of that? Was he smiling?

How did you get the confirmation that it was Sameer?

Yes Ansar was sat just behind Moores and Parry and had a grey overcoat on with a red scarf. On the foriegn stream I was watching they showed him standing and aplauding Speedy after his goal! :)

Hoping for it to come up on Youtube.

Just before kick off, a hell of a lot of photographers and tv ppl were focusing on this guy with a scarf around him.

From the BBC match coverage

1453: Tempo-wise the music is picking up as 1500 GMT approaches. The Chemical Brothers are stirring the crowd at Anfield where Liverpool will be watched by Dubai International Capital chief executive Sameer al-Ansari.

You'll see they pick him out a couple of times on sky coverage mate (that is used by foriegn streams) and they talk about him.

Isn't there reasonable speculation that the CEO is driving this project and Sheikh Mohammed will not have much to do with it?

You think?

Maybe, but if he's a footie fan (I believe he is), and he wasn't busy, he would try watch it. If I were him, I would.

Don't doubt that at all mate, I'm sure he was watching somewhere. Mine was more of a general point, is this Ansari's project? Could be significant

According to people close to him the Sheikh will take a big interest in what happens with us but maybe not as visibly as Ansari.
