Guest kring Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Link Dirk Kuyt has limped out of training with the Netherlands just over 24 hours before they face England in a friendly international. The striker has suffered a recurrence of the ankle injury he suffered a month ago playing for the Dutch against Bulgaria. The knock kept him out of Liverpool's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, but he has since returned and played a full 90 minutes in Sunday's 3-0 Premiership defeat at the hands of Arsenal. Dutch coaching staff indicated Kuyt came off as a precaution, and was expected to line up for Wednesday's game at the Amsterdam ArenA. Last month's knock infuriated Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, as Kuyt was not released from international duty as soon as he suffered the injury. Meanwhile centre back Joris Mathijsen looks set to miss out after suffering a broken nose in training on Tuesday.

Its a f***ing joke, he should be sent home, if he couldnt finish training today, he cant be playing in a s***ty friendly.

Maldini Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 i love the world cup and the european championships. i hate the qualifiers for them and positively loathe pointless f***ing friendlies.yeah, that's what I meant. Rage made me vague
Earl Hafler Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 i love the world cup and the european championships. i hate the qualifiers for them and positively loathe pointless f***ing friendlies. Especially in November
Guest Kev Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Missed training as a PRECAUTION and is EXPECTED to be fit.
CarraLegend Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Missed training as a PRECAUTION and is EXPECTED to be fit. And? If theres a slight doubt he shouldnt be playing a friendly. He's "rested" Van Der Sar so dont see why any risks should be taken with other players but then why does he give a f***? them managers are only bothered about 2008 now.

CarraLegend Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 perhaps kuyt's dad is really looking forward to his lad playing for holland against england, albeit in a pointless friendly? Yeah and thats great but still no excuse. Ferguson would of probably hit the roof already, he's already been on about Ronaldo not playing for Portugal and thats after he picked him for the Blackburn game despite carrying a knock. We're to soft sometimes although to be fair theres no guarantee anything would be done if we did hit the roof.

Wow, i'd of never of known that one. Wait, wait wait, while we're here. Chefs like cooking? Roger Federer likes Tennis? I'm getting good at this. Edited November 14, 2006 by CarraLegend
Stevie H Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Footballer wants to play football? Wow, i'd of never of known that one.just saying you don't know all the facts, and neither do i.
CarraLegend Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 just saying you don't know all the facts, and neither do i. No one on here ever does apart from maybe Elisha yet we all still moan about different stuff. We moan about teamsheets when we have no idea what happens 6 days a week at training etc etc
Nerik Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Didn't Kuyt play against Man U, contrary to what is claimed in this article?

slapnuts Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 perhaps kuyt's dad is really looking forward to his lad playing for holland against england, albeit in a pointless friendly? whats it got to do with his Dad?
Rimbeux Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wouldn't be surprised if he felt it all season (maybe longer) from time to time until he gets a full rest. There's no window or possibility in sport to get everything 1000%
Coyler Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 whats it got to do with his Dad?His dad's really sick at the moment.
