Valium? I thought it might have been cyanide for Kev.

Pass me the Valium

This is Kev's view and not the site's.

If you have a different perspective or even agree with this, you can write your own piece and send it to us and we'll stick it up providing it's passes the sensors.

I agree totally with Kev. We showed no spirit; Gerrard was ineffective; our midfield lost almost everything; our passing was terrible and we gave the ball up so many times that it became embarassing. The only player running his guts out was Gonzales and he was subbed! What the f.ck is going on? It was disgraceful.

Our play isn't fast enough.

Not fast enough for the English league

If we put this team in, say, the Spanish league, we'll probably be one of the top sides

hard to argue with a single word of Kev's outpourings of despair and frustration.

what galls me is seeing teams like Reading, Fulham, Watford and Everton playing with more heart, more courage, more feeling, more belief and more passion than we do.

there seems to be no spirit within the team, no one player, or group of players showing any kind of fire and a desire to spur the team on. last week's draw at Blackburn was followed by that insipid display in France and topped off by a performance today that the whole club should be ashamed of.

what the heck was the boss doing by leaving Sissoko on the pitch after his yellow card? Poll was itching to show a red and get his name in lights, and as a result, Sissoko was not able to play his usual way. where is our much vaunted leader and club captain these days? have we seen anything from him this season to suggest he can take us to the ultimate prize?

team selection is like a lottery at Anfield these days. what has happened to choosing the best 11, based on performance, and letting them play for an extended run of games. people will say that the players will get tired and that is why you have 3 subs. change the team for suspensions and injuries, or for a carling/coors/coca cola cup game.

2 huge games coming up in the next 6 days. i wonder which of the many Liverpool teams will show up. this will be like a cup final for Reading and they will be up for this game and fighting tooth an nail. Villa always play well at Anfield.

here's hoping for 2 wins, a few goals and a couple of confident displays.

Sissoko even though he dropped down a gear since is yellow still was one of our hardest working and better players. The result could have been worse, not better if he had gone off.

We're seeing, in Carra and stevie particularly, 2 players who have had 3 weeks off in 16 months, having had highs of European Glory and FA Cup and lows of World Cup and games against the likes of TNS. In short, they're knackered, and I can only think of two or three players who haven't had a niggling injury this season - Finnan (luckily), Hyppia and Crouch.

We're playing poorly, but it's how we now react that's important.

Completely undermined by the 'embarressment' of the penalty at Bramall lane. It was a foul, it was a penalty, deal with it. Anywhere else on the pitch there would have been no arguement.

I know it would make your point more solid if we had lost then, but we didn't, so stop trying to make out we deserved to.

If you are saying we were lucky to get it, maybe, but I'd rather had the 3 or 4 blatant other penalties we have not been given in subsequent matches than that lone one there. Maybe a defeat at Sheff U and a point (or more) at Everton and Chelski and thing would be looking different.

Rafa Benitez has to shoulder some of the blame?!? Feck that, he's the manager, he has to shoulder all of the blame, it's his team, he bought it, he trains it and he picks it. However, if you can name a manager you would rather have in charge then do it, if not, quit your whinging and try supporting the best manager we have had at this club since Paisley.

Today hurts like hell, but the performance was not as bad as was made out, we made two defensive errors and they both cost us. Other than those two we gifted them, they made nothing, a few long range pot shots that barely troubled Reina. I can only remember him making one real save, and that was going wide anyway. Kuyt and Garica had two clear cut chances that they should have buried.

Today has not changed anything, we were not going to catch chelski before today, and we are not going to catch them now, it hurts because they are the scum, and they weren't great but we still made it easy for them, we gave them it on a plate, but we can still catch them, 2nd is not beyond us, we have proven we are capable of winning 10-12 matches in a row and Rafa will sort out the defence and when Kuyt and Gonzalez settle it will come.

Good article. Not sure about Rafa trying to 'mimic Arsenal', we are a million miles away from the sort of football Arsenal play.

Absolutely desperate article. This is what we want to present to the world as the opinions of the 'world's best fans'. Cringeworthy. Take a deep breath, get your head up and look a little past the end of next week for crying out loud. Totally embarassing.

Put your own on paper and I'll put it up.

I don't have the time, Kev. I'm at work today. Suffice to say I'm surprised and disappointed at your short-termism and your negativity. Certainly things are not as we'd hoped but 'enough is enough'? What the f*** does that mean anyway? You're stopping your support? You won't be going any more? What does it mean? Nothing, is my guess.

I've never going to stop going or supporting, and enough is enough is a paraphrase often used when you've reached the end, aka like I'm going to kill him.

And I don't think 3 months into a season is short-termism.

some fair points in the post match rage of defeat

this however

"Never have I seen a Liverpool side so gutless, so clueless, so inept, unable to find a team mate with a simple pass, so quick to give up and look to the referee to blow his whistle."

i'm not having that.

We were outfought today in midfield and it's tough to take but i was far more annoyed with the defeat last season, when we went to OT in great form and bottled it, than i was today.

Time to get behind the team & manager.

We've been behind them since the firt game of pre-season, it'd be quite nice to see something in return.
