5. Kuyt worked his boll*cks off but got no decent service (apart from Gonzalez's great cross in the first half)

 

6. Gerrard is a shadow of his former self at the moment

 

7. If Sissoko committed as many fouls as Rooney does he'd be on death row

 

8. Today was one of the worst, if not the very worst, games Luis Garcia has had for us

 

9. Someone needs to give Gonzalez a valium or xanax or something, you can tell he has it in him, but he just seems nervous or anxious when he gets on the ball and as a result makes the wrong decision

 

10. Alan Smith's awful co-commentary put an exclamation mark on Ray Wilkins' great performance the other night

 

11. Giggs was either offside or very very close for their first but it was never mentioned by either the commentators or the pundits.

Smith was awful on the commentary.

 

Granted we were dire but he slyly stuck the knife in on more than a few occasions.

The problem isn't rotation, even when we have our full strength team we're not producing. We're insipid at the moment, we lack heart, character and desire.

I absolutely agree with that, thought Xabi was the only one who looked like marshalling the game and creating anything in the 1st half, well, until the Mancs scored

 

He hasn't been anywhere near as bad as some suggested, he's had real real good games and real real bad ones, and today wasn't one of those real real bad ones

agree with all that, it can't help Gonzalez that regardless of how he plays he will never be guareented a first team place.

There's really no point in singling out individual players for criticism...they all have to take responsibility as a team, and so does Rafa.

Sorry but scholes and Carrick completely bossed the midfield. I think this in part was due to us playing so deep. Alonso, personally drove me mad as he was more often than not having to play the ball backwards. Granted in part this was due to the lack of outlets, and Stevie G was also culpable here as drifting inside too much meant we did not stretch thm.

 

Regardless though I think our main issue is the defence. Hypia need to be put out to pasture. Can anyone enlighten what has happened to Palletta as Sami really can't cut it at the moment and I would rather loose and blood a new CB than play with such a lack of confidence in the back. Its causing anxiety throughout the team.

We need a No.10. A player that can make things happen when we go with a formation like that. No link between midfield and attack at all today. When Xabi had the ball Momo was beside him and vice versa. Someones gotta press the opposition back too.
