I voted shìteas he is generally shìte. However, he is one of the better refs, which doesnt say too much about the rest of the shìte we have to endure through the season

Since Durkin retired he's the best ref in the League, for me.

 

Doesn't mean he's infallible, far from it but he consistently gets the big games and there's a reason for that - he gets a lot of decisions right.

 

He'll feck up here and there, same as any other ref, and have bad games overall as he did yesterday but he's not a schit ref.

 

His problem is he does seem to revel in the attention, making controversial decisions, knowing the star players etc - bit like Jeff Winter before him.

I've never seen why he's rated so highly, he always gives the obvious decisions, but just ignores the awkward ones. He's a coward.

Any referee that could miss that Alonso 'challenge' from f***ing 10 yards is NOT in any sense of the word a good referee.

poll ,halsey ,bennet ,riley wileyi dread geeting they seem to think sky are there for them and make one or two very dubious descions, wonder who we get for chelsea,not another ref who cant see handballs, dives grabbing shirt every corner ,, i could go on but you get the message

Can't say the ref was particularly bad. A couple of 50-50 calls, but there wasn't much incident in the game. Don't blame the ref for this defeat.

 

It was a definite penalty, though. The jam's just not spreading for us at the moment.

Poll is bad, but not quite as bad as Bennet. I still can't believe he sent off Xabi against Arsenal last season when neither he nor his assistants saw the incident. Absolutely disgraceful, can't believe the FA didn't throw the book at him for that.
