Stevie H Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 the very notion of carragher not playing against everton if fit is ludicrous. this should be a two option poll.
Spion kop Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 evertons strikers are big men based on power not speed, so hyypia gets the nod.

LFCNeil90 Posted August 26, 2006 Author Posted August 26, 2006 the very notion of carragher not playing against everton if fit is ludicrous. this should be a two option poll. I agree but I thought some people might want to keep it settled with the 2 who played today.
DonRafa Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 evertons strikers are big men based on power not speed, so hyypia gets the nod. Andy Johnson is not that big is he? Anyway, Dagger is good in the air. Don't think Sami's finished yet though!

owenthomas Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 I agree but I thought some people might want to keep it settled with the 2 who played today.they played very well together but let's not get carried away.. Carragher's far too important to leave out, especially against the s****.. as i've said in another thread it's Carra & Hyypia for me at the moment.. while Agger's done extremely well its still Sami's shirt to lose..
Stevie H Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 hopefully the defence against the sh*te will be finnan - carra - sami - riise.
lawrie Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 A fit Carra would have to start, but it would be a shame to drop Agger and keep Sami in, but then again Sami has all the experience - Of course Rafa will do the right thing so we don't need to worry
Chili Palmer Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 hopefully the defence against the sh*te will be finnan - carra - sami - riise. I have a funny feeling Rafa will have a surprise selection for the game, I could see him doing what he did at Newcastle last season and play all three. Just a hunch.
Ronnie Whelan Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Is the third option suggesting we play 3 at the back with wing backs?
njr Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 the very notion of carragher not playing against everton if fit is ludicrous. this should be a two option poll. Agreed plus his experience
CHRed Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I reckon we will see 3-5-2 Reina Carra hyppia Agger Finnan Alonso Sissiko Aurilio Gerrard Kuyt Bellers
kenny7 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 evertons strikers are big men based on power not speed, so hyypia gets the nod. Erm no, Johnson is quick and his game is based on pace.
Guest sniffer Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I have a funny feeling Rafa will have a surprise selection for the game, I could see him doing what he did at Newcastle last season and play all three. Just a hunch. RAFA will have a surprise selection for the game? When did you hear that Crouch was going to play centre-half?
abuusayd Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 All three may play depending on the left back situation. May be Aurelio is sacrificed or pushed into LM with Agger at left back, depending on who is fit to play at LB
JohnnyH Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 I'd play Carra regardless of match fitness because in the derby he'd be running on adrenaline anyway. I'd also play Agger as he wont be fazed by this match as to him it will be just another game, and we need the pace against (the very slow?!) Johnston. I'd also play Kuyt and Crouch with Bellamy coming off the bench. I'd drop Garcia as this is not the game for his tricks and flicks that give the ball away a lot. Alonso and Momo (if fit) in the middle with Sevie out side and Speedy on the other side.
