NWR Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I am moving South to within 13 miles of Watford next month. Before the final whistle my missus had posted a cheque and application for Watford season tickets. No doubt its a one off payment because they will go straight back down again.I will still go to my usual 8-10 United matches, but it will be a 8 hour round trip now so I doubt I will go to as many C.L games. When United visit I will probably get battered as there is no way I will be able to stop myself cheering the lads in Red on. If any of you travellers have a meet up in Watford when you play there, I will pop in and say hello so you can call me a Manc scum t*** in person.

NWR Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 Worth the trip to Watford on its own... Its not far for most of you is it!
Guest JamesA Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Isn't James A a watford fan as well? I have a multitude of match options... I have my Liverpool fancard, access to tickets to Liverpool away games down south from a season ticket holder who lives oop north, got a Watford season ticket (which I renewed at last season's rates before they gained promotion), and also have a season ticket at Chesham United - which actually gets the most use...
sutty Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Its not far for most of you is it! Says the bloke living in Watford I was well pleased Watford won. Another game where I don't have a huge distance to travel.

Might pop to the Chesham game then. Refresh my memory now, grey old looking........I look for?

Guest JamesA Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Make sure you say hello before you piss down the back of my leg then. Berko is not far from there is it? Chesham is just up the road from there.

jon_hall Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Has Watford moved? 8 hours to Manchester and back? As long as no engineering work 2-3 hrs each way max.
The Hitman Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I'll hopefully getting tickets to that one,my mate is a Watford fan getting a season ticket as he's actully living round there now. I'd love to go,then get on the lash around Watford afterwards, top craic.
Big G Superhero Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Has Watford moved? 8 hours to Manchester and back? As long as no engineering work 2-3 hrs each way max. The gap got wider
NWR Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Stay the f*ck away. What? You live there as well? Has Watford moved? 8 hours to Manchester and back? As long as no engineering work 2-3 hrs each way max. Sorry. It takes me between 3 and a half and 6 hours to get from Abergele, N Wales to get to Berko. Depends on the traffic. Average is 4
R A Softlad Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Make sure you say hello before you piss down the back of my leg then. Berko is not far from there is it? Loopy finally making an honest woman of you?
StevieC Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 What? You live there as well? One of the primary reason there are so few Manc tops seen in the town
StevieC Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 One thing I do like about Berko is there are more United shirts than Liverpool. The George is a good place to watch the games as the Landlord is a United fan. If you can avoid the fighting outside on your way home, a good night can be had by all. Dunno about there being more Manc shirts- even on match days it's rare to see too many shirts of any sort, ostensibly becasue its an easy way to get a kick in. I don't like watching in the George- I'm too tall for the fekkin beams and end up not being able to see the tellies properly. Not to mention that the average age in there is about 12.

Yep, they treat me like their Grandad, so I dont get a kicking. So where do you go to watch the games then Crouchy?
StevieC Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Boat, Goat, Bull, in London or on the odd occasion at Tring Rugby Club.
StevieC Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I will find myself a local when I settle in next month. Finding a job is my first task. This is the first time I have been out of work for 22 years. All for the love of a woman. Give us a heads up when you do.
