on all the sports channels in in the papers over here (Israel)

cant see it though as he would have to be played as some kind of second striker when he is probably better in the middle ,still think he's a good pllayer though.

Hope so. He's a dangerous little f*****.

not sure i think hes good with both feet but normaly plays in the center, i seem to remember him playing left wing for Israel once, though i could be wrong

could he do a job on the right?

I was thinking more of a free role behind the striker, similar to what Mcmanaman had. Yossie has the abilty to go deep, pick the ball up and then run at the oppostion.

thats probably his best role ,but im not sure rafa likes that style.

That's what we need though.

I thought he was West Hams best and most dangerous player. He didn't stop running. Might be a good squad player.

I don't get that. Why just a squad player?

at best.

It'd be a fairly pointless signing imo - think our right mid will be higher profile.

Strewth!

How can a quality player (for any position) be a pointless signing...

We do need a more higher profile signing though, as everyone knows they win you titles...

I would rather we prioritise our signings first though sort out a right mid and striker replacements, and then look at people like Benayoun if we have the cash.

With all due respect, that logic is child-like.

Whats child like about it wanting to sort out whats missing in the squad rather than squander deals like last summer when we couldnt tie up a deal for a right winger? Do you want stevie G on the right for all of next season? Im using logic mate if we put effort into sorting out deals for players in positions that we do not need and then possbily lose out on a right winger or a decent forward i cannot see many people being happy would you be?

We were very lucky this season with injuries. Looking at how knackered our players were Saturday a quality squad is very important. Saying we have plenty of midfielders is being naive. Personally I think Benyoun offers a great option to what we already have. It would be nice to have a skillfull player who will take players on and provide opportunities for others. Who knows what type of toll the WC will take on Gerrard, Alonso and Garcia.

He's good, but we can get better.

Ah right, that settles it then.

Pretty much.

if the rumours about Garcia leaving are correct then Benayoun would be a good signing imo.

If that was the case, then yes, he'd be a good replacement.

A rotation player to back up whichever RM we end up plumping for.

I've seen Benayoun have games where he's been absolute w*nk, flicks and back-heels to nobody, he'd be like Garcia without the stunning goals

You're assuming that the 'more important' deals aren't being worked on simultaneously. You're also assuming that no financial planning has taken place and we are approaching targets in an organised way - that the 'key transfers in' have to be done before other players who might be regarded as squad players. The chronological order in which they are finalised is irrelevant.

Hence, child-like.

Personally I am sure that Rafa knows precisely how much he has to spend, exactly which players he wants and who are the contingencies in case those first or second choices are unobtainable.

Just a personal opinion though, of course.

That degree of pettiness could also be described as "child-like"
