You know, I have to keep pinching myself to make me believe that we really do have someone as absolutely fantastic as Rafa managing us. He is everything that you wopuld want your manager to be - tactical genius, calm, collected, seems like a really lovely bloke, and has this fantastic aura about him that even mif we are three nil down at half time you know he'll do something that turns it all around.

He is without doubt the best manager in the world IMO, and the fact that we have him is almost dream like. The Rafatollah frame that gets carried around before cup finals is as close an explanation that you can get for a football manager of his calibre.

He is without doubt a football genius and as God like as you could get in football circles.

Just wanted to share that with you all. :)

Lets not go overboard. A few dodgy signings and results next season and we'll be on his back.

I'm very glad Rafa is our manager. He is a great football man. Shrewd, tactical, hard-working. He also seems to be a great leader - able to find the balance between man-managing well yet still maintaining enough distance to keep all his players on their toes. He is definitely in charge, and that's the way it should be.

Then the way rafa comes across as a human being also adds to the appeal. Family man, down to earth, humble in spite of his standing in the game etc.

I'm very glad he is our manager, and I honestly cannot think of another manager in world football I'd rather have at this time.

Being as Benitez has already shown what an excellent manager he is, and that he can get results here, and that he can win things here, and that he brings in good players, IF he has a dodgy spell, I wont get on his case. Cos what the fec would that achieve. We're lucky to have him. I'd support him through a dodgy spell.

If only all fans were as loyal and biased as you.

Saying that, it's usually only the long distance internet forum mob who are the first to whinge, and we all know they mean nothing...

I was just on my way home thinking I might start a thread on Rafa. "Benitez the Brave" I was going to call it but seeing as you have started one Gravy i salute you. :cooler:

I couldnt have said it better, he is a master coach of players and men. Stevie is the perfect example, last year Rafa had troubles but once he committed this year he has improved on the field as he himself predicted but his improvement of it has been even more impressive and that i put down to Rafa.

Why Brave? 3-5-2 at half time in CL final. Placing faith in Harry. Buying Crouch. Buying Robbie! He is so astute he knows what he wants and does it with so much faith in his own judgement and belief.

Most of all he understands what Liverpool FC is about and is doing his best to make sure those things are upheld for a new generation. He isnt Shankly, Paisley or Dalglish. He is Rafa and he is just what we needed.

Bring on next season, i cant wait. :D:D

Gravy don't go overboard

He's pulled off two 3-3 draws and beaten a dodgy Russian team in a pre-season friendly

Not exactly setting the world alight, is he?
