Aye, too fast and too deep with the cutting, and it can cost you even more to start moving forward. If come next May we have just had a season with no trophies, and no Europe qualification at all, then it'll be even harder to attract real quality players, and cost more to get them on board. I'm happy with financial restructuring, aslong as we're giving ourselves a chance of winning cups and challenging for 4th this season aswell. I think the squad is two decent, experienced forwards from being at that point. Spending £10M and adding £120k p/wk or so to the wage bill last Friday, would not have sent us to the wall, but may well have given us a great shot at 4th.
