It's been reported in the Sundays that West Ham have to sell someone by the end of the month to stave off the holding company's bankruptcy. The name in the frame is centre-half Upson who may cost up to ten million quid. As he's about 30, methinks that is too much. What is the view on here?

I just couldn't see, meself, why Rafa didn't offer Hyppia an agreeable extension. He's still better than our cover. Even so, think Martin Kelly should have come on for Carra.

Pity he's not. Need to know that when Carra went off, we had an entirely new back line from last year so we could expect some jitters. Thought Martin Kelly did well - could even play in midfield if he carries on improving! However, very uneasy at the way Madrid passed through our midfield on occasion. Let's hope AA is the business......

Hmmm., I see that someone on RAWK says all the available money has been blown on Aquilani. Says the remainder of the Alonso fee has - or is going to - the yanks for their refinancing scheme.... Can anyone throw any light on this?

Hmmm. Anyone answer these questions? 1. How many games has this guy played over the last 4/5 years? 2. Is he the Italian Aurelio? 3. I've only ever seen Liverpool's name mentioned in connection with Aquilani. Any other clubs supposed to be interested in him?
