Just as matter of interest, I was told that if my renewal application wasn't in by the deadline date, then I would miss out, even if it arrived the day after. I know that it was mentioned in the transfer roundup but I see the Express is reporting that Aston Villa are striving to beat Liverpool to the Belgian Standard Liege player Steven Defour. They are quoting 13 million! Anyone know anything about this guy - is he a striker or what?
