he doesnt get forward near enough and doesnt score many,especially for a man with such brilliant ability to place the ball,i think there is a reason why rafa would swap that type of player with a barry type,who although i do rate,isn't a patch on xabi in terms of class.

we dont need two center mids sitting deep,i think our replacement for xabi will be more barry like than xabi.i'm sure there are a few mobile midfielders that can pass the ball and score a few.They dont have pass it as well as xabi because in reality very few do but they can make up for that by scoring more.

he might just be a slow developer mentally,it might take him longer to see things the way they should be than others in the team,he may need to be told or have to see the same thing over and over and over before it registers.all that matters is that it does register. so in case it is this its good he gets an extra season to show he can learn,couple that with the fact that no one wants to buy him as farr as we can tell and if they did it would most likely be at a huge loss,so really whats their to lose.

i thought he was our best player for the latter half of the season and if he can keep the level up i dont know anyone that could replace him outside of the ronaldo's of this world.creates,scores and works his b******s off,great combination.

think they do really want him but no one is budging atm,the club is sticking to our valuation,rm are hoping/sure that the price will come down and xabi so far as we know hasn't tried to force the issue but something will give soon enough one way or the other.

tbh when it comes to transfers the word"probably"means nothing.We all realize that he would like to go but isn't against staying.I think there is some distance to go before the "probably" becomes a definitely which means this news is nothing new.The only real issue is how much rm are prepared to pay/what we will accept.

rafa said we have enough for one more signing without having to sell and i dont think he means a 2mill type player.With just our regular transfer budget of 20mill ish and (hopefully)the money from selling keane we should have enough for another somewhat big signing.

why dont they go after the best midfielder of his type in the prem which isn't alonso but carrick?At least thats what some of the most knowledgable people in the game(pundits)think?

he has 3 yrs left on his contract,we don't have to offer him a thing,we can sell next year and still get the same fee if he's had a season like the one past.i dont see the panic in having to sell him now because he will be worth x amount less next season.he'll go when rafa gives the green light which means rm have paid what rafa feels is fair if not then they can f off,its really that simple.

would your mom in law actually know silva,as in what he looks like?i've seen him plenty on tv but somehow doubt i would know who he was if he passed me on the street(maybe i would).I suppose the question is how does she know its him?

ahh you're breaking my heart,i think it's time to cut those apron strings there carra.He misses his family?who lives away from home that doesn't at some point,but then you wake up and realize your a man not a 2yr old and have made important decisions in your life that put you where you are today(earning a massive wedge)and people rely on you.i can only imagine the look of bemusement on my bosses face(i live in the states)if i told him that i didnt want to come to work cause i was homesick and miss my dear old childhood friends and family.priceless!

i think he's keeping us sweet in case the move falls through,he's clever.Whats the point in saying a load of s*** about us or even saying he wants to go and then have the move fall through.At least this way if he ends up staying then he can say that he made it clear he was happy all along.
