Always a good result but they are suffering at the moment. Not having a moan but they look pretty awful.

We've come for another 0-0, to 'maintain the momentum'.

Arsenal drop Walcott, Sagna and Denilson. Bentner up front. Should be interesting.

a*** fans seems to be generally agreed there is unrest in the camp. Good. ...Finally there is Andrey Arshavin. The little Russian is a brilliant player. He is being asked to perform an impossible task in this formation (another example of the no tactics approach). However, before the start of the season I noticed a few things – he doesn’t pass to RVP, and RVP doesn’t pass to him. When RVP was in the team, Fabregas wouldn’t pass to Arshavin either. There is clearly a problem between Arshavin and certain team-mates. I don’t think Wenger likes him either, because he likes to have his say. Wenger doesn’t like to have someone questioning him, so Arshavin’s statements in the press will not go down well. The past two weeks have shown that Arshavin doesn’t trust his team-mates enough to pass to them in attacking areas. Despite his ability, I am convinced that he will be shipped out in the summer. It is a tragic thing to have to say, but Arsene Wenger is no longer benefiting Arsenal, and it is time to go. I hate saying that, but it is something I have felt for over a year now. Wenger fails to change the team when certain individuals do not deserve their place. Too many are not only not good enough, but exist in a comfort zone they have no right to occupy. They have won nothing. Wenger has become increasingly embarrassing with his outbursts. His comments this week about the domestic cups were the most disrespectful thing I have heard him yet say – if Arsenal’s manager thinks it is better to finish third than to win a cup there is something seriously wrong. http://www.onlinegooner.com/exclusive/index.php?id=1511

Yes I see that and 'declared' income was perhaps a poor choice of words. I was trying to highlight the vast difference between the monies he was investing and possible areas of his income. It is huge. This is not a case merely of an unscrupulous businessman trying to save tax. He scams and defrauds, does not care who it is. Only last year he was taken to court for hiking up the price of gas to his customers to unreasonable and unmanageable levels. This should be of particualr interest to us. There are illicit and irregular dealings in the stock market to derail listing prices. This list in endless. He is a crook.

Independent bodies/pressure groups in India have sought to have the Reliance Indistries Limited (RIL) investigated for some time. Ambani is their Chairman. In a period of about two years he also increased his shareholding in that Company to 51% by investing something like 15 billon dollars (?). He also spent another 1 billion dollars or so increasing his shareholding other Reliance Group Industries. His declared income is about 25 Million dollars per annum. Do the maths. Uproar is certain sectors in India. Government are strangley quiet. It is after all a democratic, corruption free nation.

Agents, managers, team-mates and coaches cover for players all the time — and money can be used to pay off girls. Most things can be “sorted” or bought. It has created a breed of rather unpleasant men. Not all footballers are like this, but enough are. I bumped into John Terry at a restaurant in Esher, Surrey, several years ago. It was a lovely Lebanese restaurant and it was a balmy summer evening so everyone sat outside. My table was next to Terry’s. There was a certain buzz in the restaurant as everyone turned to take a glimpse at this famous diner. Terry was clearly aware of the interest that he was generating. He looked at the menu and looked up at the waiter who came to take their orders. “I’ll have burger and chips,” he said. His wife looked embarrassed. “You can’t John. It is a Lebanese restaurant. They don’t have burger and chips here,” he was told. “That’s what I want,” he said. Clearly what Terry wants he usually gets. The waiter explained that they had no burger and chips. “Everything we have is on the menu. We serve only Lebanese food.” Terry sent the waiter inside to check with the chef and bring him what he wanted. The waiter came back out again and said he was sorry but the chef said no. “Send the chef out,” Terry said. Minutes later a white-apron-clad chef came storming through the restaurant towards Terry’s table outside. He approached the England captain from behind, and said angrily: “This is not a burger bar. It’s a Lebanese restaurant. We don’t do burgers.” He then looked down and saw who he was talking to and said: “Oh my God, John Terry. I’m a big Chelsea fan. Of course you can have burger and chips, I’ll get them straight away.” If you are Terry, it seems, the rules are different from those that exist for other people. Perhaps, though, even he has overstepped the mark this week. As his wife flies to Dubai threatening divorce, the woman he had an affair with talks to Max Clifford and his role in the England team hangs in the balance, he might reflect that sometimes, just sometimes, there are consequences, even if you’re John Terry. http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/article7011592.ece

136. Roughly double that if you chose not to take into account the teams switching around after half time.
-
Four points from the two games (ideally 3 off City) would be excellent. We look hard to beat now and think we will do it.
-
Thought he was realy good again today. Never seems to get a mention when the side does okay.

Atkinson. Stood out like a beacon.

Moyes is a fantastic manager. It was always going to be difficult for him today, very difficult to play against 10 men who park the bus. If he was in charge of us to day under those circumstances we would have won by loads. We need to sack Benetiz now and get him quickly before he is snapped up by Juventus.

Spurs to draw with Villa, nailed on.

He's gone Maxi on left? We are always too narrow without Riera playing.

On the other hand there is lot in the maxim (sort of); 'Don't try and beat them at their own game, they will drag you to down to their level and beat you with experience.'

So sad. Condolences to Sibiereski and the rest of her family.

Thought about Ngog but could see him getting a real pasting in this game, they won't give him a split second to hold it up. Aquaman must start, somewhere. Please. Seems to force the side play it even if he doesn't play a blinder. If it turns into another Wolves-like head tennis debacle can see that suiting them right down to the ground. They are going for 10 games undefeated and can see them setting themselves up for this one with the craft of a Bull in a china shop.

You sure? What do you reckon of my team above then? Love to see it. Won't happen though.

Purslow Meeting Announcement/Minutes published
Redray replied to Spirit Of Shankly 's topic in Liverpool FC
On a balance, which version would you say is closer to an accurate, verbatim report of the meeting? No doubt it has to be the SOS version. The number of persons present approving the document suggest it has to be. It is quite a normal thing for a person in CP’s position to seek to retrospectively sanitise comments made at such a meeting and there could be a number of reasons for doing this.
