  1. Look, If houllier wasnt in charge of it then it wasnt his team. If that were the case then we should give hodgson 2 more years. (ooops , i stoppped reading after i saw 'houlliers team )
  2. This is just a big bloody wind up.
  3. I'd consider a CL final a 'success'.. we walked away without the cup but man.. a champions league final appearance is ... well, you know what it is like. Why people only mention 2005... it's funny really.. I mean, Milan beat us 2-1 in a single game and that season is forgotten! AND WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM THAT TIME!
  4. People can say what they want but Rafa's CV has it's own page for achievements.
  5. open field at home? No.. Milan and Juve were very strong at the time.
  6. I don;t think he's been sacked but I'd gues that he's meeting with someone about the possibility of ending his term at inter and returning. That or Inter have given in to his demands for serious investment and he's England to meet players to take back .. but I think number 1
  7. f***IN YEAH
  8. I didnt say you did... but yes it was a great achievment.. one that he nearly did twice for us as you well know... my point is. I want a manager who can achieve this for us. I think Rafa can do it again cause he has before. Is there any more reason to want a manager in place? Under proper ownership I think Rafa would be a success again... and I dont want to talk about him getting sacked at inter.. they almost fired mancini several times.. Italian clubs are very quick to change managers and ... entire teams (inter in a single summer i believe.. forget the year)
  9. Not being smart but where is caldy? Im not from england
  10. Rafa is in Liverpool right now 'on holiday'... rumours that he's been fired. Under what manager do you think we'd have won the 2005 CL with? Or do you think Rafa's 2 legged talent is all BS? Mourinho has adopted it in his own way... and that's through experience.
  11. I stand corrected. I guess my memory isnt as good as i'd like to think, still... from the google search I did, it says I was about 3 months off. If I rmember correctly, things were rather positive then anyway. my point anyway, is that when the credit crunch hit and our dreams of a new stadium fell apart alog with so many other little things.. I think that people are quick to forget that a terrible working environment can really take from you and those around you. for us its just something we get away from work with... but for them it's the conditions they work in... and I think those conditions were bloody awful day to day. I voted that i'd take Rafa back... and I would in a heartbeat.. cause I know that reina would be more likely to stay with him.. I know that he would have a chance of getting more out of Gerrard and Torres again cause he knows how to use them! He really f***ed up the Alonso business and that really cost us... but he brought the likes of Alonso here in the firstpalce... for god sake, they are linking us to N'Zogbia now! 1 out of 4 people do not want rafa back... I say that 1 in 4 Liverpool fans are insane.
  12. Is this some kinda wind up? last i saw, they didnt give gold medals to the people who finish between 9th and 12th.
  13. Guys, I don't think Rafa is a man free of mistakes... find a manager who hasnt made many... but I have one thing to say on Rafa .. Ive said it before too but now it's suitable. The last game that rafa was in charge of before Hicks and Gillet took over at Anfield was a Champions league final. That is all.
  14. I know this is January transfer thread but (this player is currently out with a long term injury).... This is the player that Brazil are going mad about at the moment... Is it ok for me to post youtube links in here? if not, I'll remove it. I would like for Liverpool to really show their intentions and go after a player like this guy, if not him. have a look. Now now, let's not under estimate our manager ;P
  15. I think we should sign Roy Hodgson in a player only capacity.
  16. Carra is in decline but that's natural, i still think he has a lot to offer us... and I think it was shown in our last game, regardless of how poorly covered our defence is anyway. Agger for me is a possible candidate to retire soon. Babel is actually trying (not getting my hopes too high but.. its nice to see the 1 in 10 times he decides to) Lucas has a lot to prove? I don't think so.. he's been getting a lot of stick for a long time. If he were german I don't people would be so quick to miss his strengths. Cole is a talented player and if you believe what you hear about him, he's a nice guy...he came here cause we have the best fans.. well im sure there were other reasons... but let's give him our support. Skertyl.... absolutely terrible lately. Kuyt, has his strengths. He has really grown on me over time.
  17. This is exactly how I feel.. Everyone knows Torres needs a boost of some sort.. a few goals may give him that but as I was saying, this is a suspisiously strong side for a nothing game.... and I think I may have a very strong argument to say that Hodgson is close to being on a 'game to game' basis with the new owners when you see that Reina is starting. For me that is the key. I am now sure in my own mind that Hodgsons time may well be up very soon. As someone has pointed out , we've these guys and fulham and he'll win and it'll go back to normal.. ya, probably... but my point is that, he's bloody well trying his best to win tonight!
  18. When in Rome.... I've no idea either really.
  19. Oh jesus
  20. I have heard that Torres will be starting against Ut.. maybe its bulls*** and he wont... and yer right, its a nothing game. But if Torres starts, do you think it's simply an attempt to get Torres on form again or would you entertain the idea that Hodgson may try and gloss over his immediate problems by putting out as strong a team as possible?(a stronger team than is needed... sicne we don't have to risk Torres getting injured really.)
  21. I think a bad result in our next 2 games would really finally be the end of him. He's not putting out a load of lads for the next game.. not a full strength team but one thats stronger than the last game... and we dont even need any more points. I think he may be on a game to game basis here. super wishful thinking maybe...
  22. Cannavaro was.
