I don;t see Cole as a right off at all. I think if Hodgson doesn't play him in a more central role or at least give him more game time, then he may be. Cole needs confidence... and playing you sporadically and out of position isnt exactly a great way to manage a player.

Absolutely not. We need him now and after that stint at inter, I think a 6 month break is the last thing he needs. A month or 2 maybe but we cant afford that sicne the transfer window is coming up. No, we need Rafa in with this window coming in days... and we need to hit the ground running then. If we don't show some ambition , our stars are going to leave. If Hodgson stays til the end of the season or we have a caretaker in charge, our stars are gone. Our players and fans have been listening to false promises for long enough... and I believe and understand the reports linking Reina and Torres away... I can't blame them, they want to win.. Hodgson doesn't. With Rafa, and a transfer window where he's heavily backed, we'll have a good shot at getting that 4th place back. THAT is what we need ... not just for CL football the season after but , to keep the stars we have and to attract more in summer if needed.

I mean, we all knew who he was but were we really expecting him to have such a great opening season? and I hadn't known Alonso myself before we signed him... altohugh i know he wasnt too obscure... but still... Reina... now he wasnt 'the player' he was before either... he does well when he spends big money... sure you'll pick out times where he makes mistyakes : Babel.. complete toilet flush of cash... but we were all excited at the time werent we? and Arsenal were after him too if Im right...

well im sure things werent easy under Rafa.. he wasnt known to be a man to give praise.. he always wanted more.... because if you want to win, you f***ing have to give more! I personally don't give 2 s***s if the players don't like the manager... if they don't respect him that's another thing... but players need to know their role sometimes. Gerrard is a bad example though as he'll generally give you 90% and then when we really need him, he'll give everything he possibly can. people shouldnt ever really have much of a say when it comes to who is their boss... otherwise we'd constantly be channging our boss for new ones when they make us do things that usually don't involve chairs. I would like the owners to ask Gerrard if he repects Rafa as a manager.. no BS media answers.. a straight up answer. Then I think if the answer is yes, he should be asked if he wants to hold the CL trophy again or have a cushy job with a boss who probably won't push him as hard. The new owners are known for spending money wisely. I would think it very wise to get Rafa in right now... let him sign 2 top players in january and hope that we can get a run together and possibly push into the top 4 by the end of the season.... whether this is realtic or not is another story but I'd of course be happy to see us make reasonable progress... enough to convince our top players to stick around for more progress int he summer window then. God i just want Roy our and Rafa in... it wouldnt even be hard for them to do.. probably wouldnt cost more than a few million.

I would want Rafa back regardless... he had a really tough time from owners/press in the last season... it made a lot of people forget the massive progress that we made under Rafa. before he took over were weren't considered a power in Europe at all.. (CL obviously).. we won the CL in 2005 and spent the next year listening to people say it was all a fluke.. we may not have won it in 2007 which is a damn shame cause apparently you can be a failure at a club that hadn't even put in a title contention in 15 years before yer appointment and still be considered a failure in the eyes of some fans... but getting to that final in 2007 showed everyoen that it was no f***in fluke. then 2 seasons ago we nearly brought the mother of all trohpies back to Anfield... but 1 bloody season... thats all it took for the whole house to fall down. you know, this whole episode... if things continue the way they are.. I'm not sure i'll be too motivated into supporting the club.

I don't have talksport here ... some on here are saying that most of the fans don't actually want rafa back... other websites are SHOWING this with lots and lots of people posting in sneering at Rafa... they coukd be filtered to give a certain hue to their stories... but basically the people phoning in are in favour of Rafa coming back? well that was different.. I mean I'm sure Mr. Henry and co would be very interested to hear what the loyal fans thought... Hicks didn't give a toss.

I am almost sure that Ray houghton can't ever win in football manager.... he never really recovered from the old championship manager fiasco, where they asked him for tactical input and the game was a complete disaster.

Roy Houghton is as big a c*** as Hodgson. he's also a complete and utter fool. for an ex-professional footballer of the highest level, he seems to have very little understanding of the game at all.
