Oh right, I did miss that. Sounds a bit thoughtless. I thought he was quite jittery all evening actually. When he was filling, at half time in extra time, he was waffling a bit, starting sentences that he didn't seem to know where they were going.

Didn't they also get Scotland to join in? I know it's only a gesture but they are using the platform they've got to send a message and it feels churlish not to acknowledge that. Same with Southgate's words.

De Bruyne seems like a decent person and I feel sorry for him. It was funny seeing City going full Rory Delap and "get it in the mixer" for the final 10.

You'll still be rewarded for it. They'll still count and each team will get an equal opportunity to score them. And it'll hopefully take the brakes off home teams too. Currently 2-0 is a substantially better first leg result than 3-1 or 4-2, which is daft.
