Yep. They should worry more about replacing Lampard than signing Torres. That's them to a tee though. This is Abramovich playing Fantasy Football Manager. Trouble is he's playing the 08/09 version and hasnt upgraded his software.

Yes, but he suffered injury after injury last season, and for me has lost the pace, confidence and all-round game he had two seasons ago. He's still world-class but he isn't the best striker in the world anymore....not consistently anyway. If he wants to go, I think we should cash in and rape Abramovich for £50m. Either now or in the summer.

Question is, did he peak two seasons ago ? He hasn't been the same player since, mostly caused by injury and disruption at the club. I'd get rid for £50m.

Silly question Kev, but why would he hide - we know we'll get honesty and no steaming bullsh*t with Dalglish that we got with the Clown from Croydon. Dalglish will have to learn a few touch-line lessons, and very quickly, but the insinuation that he would hide is just wrong. He's not going to be bullet-proof, no-one is but let's not swing too much against "protecting" the legend eh ?

As improved as he is, that is always a damning indictment of any performance for me.

I wouldn't say that's an over-reaction at all. He needs to be played right-midfield or sold. His defending has become a complete liability.
