  1. Yep. This, like the City game is where you go 4-5-1.
  2. Disgraceful. This can't be happening. All his LMA buddies are laughing behind his deluded face at how he's f***ing ruining this club.
  3. That article could easily have been written by Barclay. Another distasteful individual. These journos telling us what we should expect and accept are utter balloons. Life under Hodgson is like dining in a Michelin star restaurant and getting served Asda ready-meals.
  4. Mmmm.....wonder what Wilson would think if he was a Liverpool fan ? I honestly cannot believe the slack Hodgson gets from the media. All moot though really, as whatever happens he's here until the summer at least.
  5. The yawning great gaps we've seen between Torres and the rest of the team have all been part of our imagination.
  6. It's a quite ridiculous notion or theory.
  7. Yeah, really tricky one isn't it...
  8. Maybe, we'll find out in the next few seasons. We're no longer considered a CL team though. That was my point. It's very, very worrying.
  9. Purslow has helped put us back to where we were before GH arrived. Every minute his appointment is in charge, we slip further away from the Mancs, Chelsea and Arsenal. I hope his loyal subjects are happy with that.
  10. Because it'll blow your argument away. Hodgson doesn't want us to play out from the back. Reina and Agger have both alluded to this, but you obviously know better. Everthing, and I mean everything Hodgson does has 'amateur' written all over it.
  11. If we had a decent manager, who had half a clue of how to coach top players and manage a big club, there would be no need for the likes of Reina and Torres to publicly back someone that they can have very little respect for.
  12. No Poulsen but a teamsheet none the less soiled by Konchesky. I probably wouldn't have gone 4-4-2
  13. You just did However, my "one sided two dimensional rant" (which it isn't) is based on information in the public domain. Your "analysis" is based on supposition, assumption and the classic 1+1=3 methodology. If you really do believe that Purslow was "our man on the inside", then that's a shame, because "our man" has royally f'cked us for the foreseeable future.
  14. LOL - please tell me you're joking about that last sentence. Everthing changed when Purslow arrived - things became even worse, than they were under Hicks & Gilette's direct regime. You could sense the tense atmosphere that descended on the club, even in from cursory media reports. The reason Purslow and Benitez "fatally drifted apart" was down to one man - Purslow. He tried to discredit Benitez with clandestine press leaks and briefings, changed the structure of the club, key staff members, medical staff, fitness coaches - everthing. None of these decisions included the managers input. Fast-forward to the summer and............ Benitez was consented, and then.................. Purslow appointed Hodgson - the rest is history.
  15. He's actually not lying though. Thanks to his own inept management, tactics and lowering of expectations it would be a surprise if we beat them. Well done Roy.
  16. Mike, he was the agent in chief behind the mess we are in right now in terms of the consenting of Benitez and the deplorable decision of his replacement. He tried to take the credit for the Standard deal, was leaking to the press behind Benitez' back re: meeting with Broughton when he was first appointed.....the fact that he turns my stomach - well that's just my perception and gut instinct for sniffing out a snake.
  17. Purslow has to be one the most detestable people ever to grace our club. He turns my stomach, the snake.

    Suso

If he's fully loaded he'll end up on loan like Aquillani
  19. I'm not dismissing it (and I'm not ignorant). I just don't get how anything else is more relevant or important. As I've said already, I know many dyed in the wool Gooners who are starting to seriously question Wenger's management strategy. You have to realise that most fans are more interested in success than business models, margins, moneyballs and any other corporate jargon that doesn't enter your average supporter's vocabulary. I'm not denying that financial prudence is unimportant, nor do I think it's an out-dated concept for a supporter to expect the custodians of their clubs to run the business side of a club as a Black-box to the fan-base.
  20. What's superficial about not winning trophies ?
  21. This content is not viewable to guests.
  22. Maybe I mis-read the post. It seemed to imply the "true-essence" of what was going on was more important than challenging for silverware.
  23. Unless he outsizes The Todge. Could be the explaination behind the loan move ?
