I like the cut of Henry's jib. I like the fact we have a manager who we all universally respect - no divisions. I like the fact we have a manager again who has half a clue about what this club is, and how to run the thing - both on the pitch and off it. Dalglish has erased the nightmare of Hodgson-past within a few games and even the previously unthinkable thought of losing Torres has been effortlessly dealt with on his part. Been there, done it, and won the titles after doing it. Regardless of Sunday's result, it really does feel like we've got our club back. It's a start.....

Would've thought a midfield playmaker (Adam ?) and/or quality wingers will be the priorities on the attacking front. Would like to see us keep N'gog and Pacheco, with Carroll and Suarez as first choice, and Kuyt in reserve. Gerrard might be dropping deeper in the next few years, and will be a superb holding midfielder so we should be covered there. We've just shunted nigh on 60m on strikers in a few days, I think that might be enough for now. Left-back, (maybe a centre-back) and wide-midfielders/wingers as a priority.

Bet he doesn't think that now - and hopefully not come the summer window. I certainly don't expect a Liverpool player to say that and then hand a transfer request in just under 3 weeks later. Personally, I think he's made a very misguided decision. Him and Suarez as a strike-force could've been something very special. Anyway, all water under the bridge now - can't wait to see Dalglish working with Carroll and Suarez.

I always question a Liverpool fan that de-values silverware - whatever it is. I would rather win the Europa League this season, than win nothing. True, they probably have more potential as it stands, but that is all it is. Potential. We'll survive without Torres thanks very much. He's nothing to us now.

I wonder why I'm really hoping he doesn't get the predictable reception he's going to get. Utter silence would be enough when his name is called out or a simple Italian-style "backs to" would be more symbolic than petty booing. Then we get the Suarez songs out and show the placcy flags what support is all about.

Hardly surprising considering the utter s**** we've had to endure on and off the pitch this season. Think we all know the big tests lie ahead. Starting Sunday.....

Torres was "gone" months ago.

oh do shut up you two - it's like listening to two old grannies in a knitting circle. Gerrard has won everything in club football with his boyhood club except the title. Torres has won nothing in club football, feels a bit narked, didn't get what he was promised and wanted to leave. We'll get over it, and so will Gerrard.

The fee is high. No-one can deny that, but if he starts banging goals in from the off people will soon forget that. I like the fact we've finally got two forwards who will compliment each other. It's been a while. I think we'll defo get Adam now, be it tonight or in the summer and Dalglish will go all out to make sure we have quality in both wide positions to provide the bullets for Carroll. Exciting times.
