Brighton became a bit of a bogey side for us in the 80's - I used to get some funny looks as a kid standing on my 4ft stool at the Goldstone with a Liverpool scarf and hat on. Can't for the life of me remember who got the winner for Brighton that day, but if my memory serves me right it was scored at the Anny Road end, from a cross on the left-side ?? That year was also the year Brighton reached the Final against the Mancs and feckin' Gordon Smith missed that sitter in the last minute. Dozy twot Brighton got stuffed 4-0 in the replay, then went and knocked us out again next year and I think Michael Robinson was bought by us based on those performances.
