Where do I start? I guess we could talk about how woeful Kuyt was today or how crap Riise has been all season. How about Rafa's substitutions? How about the fact that too many players are playing roles they have no business or dare I say talent to play? There are so many things wrong right now within and on the outside of the club that someone has to take the blame. Right? Why not the amercians? Seems so many others have trashed then on this forum for the last few weeks. For the record I don't see how it's their fault but if you read enough on here you'd think they were lacing up their boots and playing.

Exactly. Why feel sorry for them? Small time and this only proves it more. Has the club commented on this yet? I'd be interested to see if they even dignified it with a response.

Kuyt used in this manner may well provide some goals. He spends far too much time outside the box, he needs to get deeper and poach and would also be availble for the quick give and go with Torres.

Kind of on topic and in no way a possibility but can you imagine Torres with someone like Jari Litmanen in his prime? You'd have to think that would be a devestating partnership.

Rafa said he would have to check on his fitness before making a decision. Seems he picked up an ankle problem. Not sure how bad but we could really use Agger if he's healthy. Hobbs has done a decent job when he's been in, if he starts Sunday we have to have Mascherano on the pitch to shield him as much as possible.

Excellent post and something I have noticed as well. The thing that strikes me is the fact that he makes it look so easy when he turns it up a gear or two and it happens so quickly. His ball control and ability to accelerate with it make him an absolute terror to defend. Sheer class with many years ahead of him. Should be fun to watch over the next five+ years.

His run at the defender and pass to Torres happened so fast that I barely could tell he covered 30 some odd yards that fast. His tail was up and has been in recent appearances. He's really started to form a nice understanding with Torres and if that continues and he stays healthy we could well be in for a treat.

Awful news but just goes to prove how tough Carra is, most players wouldn't have gotten up from that and tried to play on. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Broken ribs are easier to treat than bruised ribs. First thing the doctor said to me after being diagnoed with bruised ribs is; "It would have been much better had you just broken the damn things, bruised ribs are much harder to treat." Why that is I don't know but I can tell you it hurt worse than a pair of pants full of kittens in heat!

...and as much as I would hate to see him leave I wouldn't be surprised to see Sven make an offer for Peter Crouch. I've not the feeling that Rafa wants rid of Peter but rather he sees him as surplus for the right price. Who knows what the crazy Swede would pay with his new found fortunes but the right amount may allow Rafa to make one final attempt to sign Daniel Alves and put one over the Moaner at Chelsea. Flame on..............

Impressive display by USA considering the players they brought and who they are playing against. Class save by Keller on the Veron effort and that Eddie Johnson looks a handful. Mascherano has had some good touches and has made some pretty good plays defensively.

I am fairly certain that Garcia has not been offered an extension at this time and tbh I think it's a smart move by the club since he's coming back from major knee surgey.

I think the reason they are sitting deep is because of Bellamy's pace... The service from the wings is an area that has to be addressed especially when we're talking about the left side. I think Jermaine will build on his last several games and have a good season. If Kewell stays and can stay healthy he's like a new player, I hope he has a good Tourney with the Aussies and comes in fit and raring to go for pre-season. Signing Milito and or Torres/Bent with either Mancini or Malouda and we're laughing. Lets all hope we get some players in this week so we stop doubting the new owners and whether Rafa is happy or unhappy with them. At the very least we can still have a go at Parry.

Not really. They may trade players under contract for other players, draft picks, future considerations and or all of the aformentioned. I'm not even sure that MLS players are bought and sold like they are in the rest of the world.
