And annoy the drunken Scot.

I rate Keane as a manager, burn me!

Let's put the United link aside and say that he is everything you would want in a manager - a leader, a motivator, extremely gifted as a player, has respect, is a winner and has already enjoyed relative success in his 8 months as manager. I think he would be a great assistant to Benitez for a few years, however I'd not want to see such an icon of United here. Let us not forget though that Busby was an ex Liverpool captain!

I must have missed something?

Do you work for the club? You seem to know everything!

If it did happen and it will some day we will have to go for the best available at the time. If it happned this summer I'd want Juand Ramos or Marcello Lippi.

I always find it amusing when people on forums spout off hearsay as if it is fact on forums.

May I ask who told you this? Or was it the write in in the pink?

It would be a step back to have Aurelio at Left midfield, but I do think that Alonso is more than just a holding player. Should we get the right type of forward at the club next season than I can see Gerrard in a free role. Sounds odd but a Mascherano/Gerrard midifeld sounds perfect.

Alves is perfect for Rafa as he has the attributes going forward and obviously being a right back he has defensive discipline that Rafa demands. I have a feeling he will end up at Barcelona with Zambrotta switching to left back. Also, playing right midfield would hardly be great for his international career considering how Brazil play with wing backs.

Tevez, Owen, Alves, straight into the first team with Bellamy, Kuyt and Pennant back up.

The problem with doing the hard stuff is that it's usually done miles away from goal. E.g. Kuyt plays deep, and Bellamy runs the channels, errm.. so who scores the goals? The other thing I notice more and more is that when other teams get a set piece against us they out about 6 players in the box, we only ever put in 3.

Rafa likes hard working players including strikers, hence why he has bought 3 of the hardest working strikers in the world. The problem then is these hard working players are working too hard to be bothered about scoring goals!

Must say that I am yet to see the "blistering pace" and the "amazing skill" which Rafa spoke about.

£20M - Samuel Et'oo would leave Barcelona for no less than £35M, he even cost Barca £16M. He is currently the best striker in the world.

Not trying to be funny or cause offence but do you tend to always toe the party line?

Can someone confirm, are these not the same people who own the Godophin stables? They spend millions on horses and usually get nothing back - in sport they have invested heavily in Cricket in moving the ICC to Dubai, Gold Cup Golf, that new formula 1 thingy, heck they even have a sports city there. Their work is all about getting people to move to Dubai and build a tourism infra-structure. Apart from that they have a vested interest in Arsenal (Sheikh Mohammed owns Emirates airline although through Emirates Group and not through Dubai Holdings) I don't see the problem. The only downside is probably that the club and players would be used to promote Dubai, promote property and obviously display "Dubai" on the shirts or something.

Correct mate. If I remember correctly the Centenary Stand cost £12M and Moores paid for this. The % increase in his shares went up after he underwrote the rights issue that paid for the said stand as you rightly say. He now sits on a potential gold mine with the very same shares. He was willing to leave 2 years ago and said so himself two AGM's in a row, so something must have been amiss for him to do that. He missed this years AGM due to illness but wouldn't have needed to field any questions anyway as we had the European Cup on show. Not much has changed off the field since his very first statement about selling his shares but his position is stonger due to the sucess of Benitez.

Can we all play or is this just for the peeping toms?

Isn't Alves more of a winger than a full back? I have heard him called a full back a bit on this thread but I thought he played at right midfield and we want him to be our new wing wizard? I haven't seen him play much so oblivious to how good he really is.

Michael was a tremendous young talent at 18 but not good as Leo Messi is surely?

Hello! I have come from another well known website, just for this type of information. I didn't have to wait long, thank you for the Bellamy info. I shall now be mostly at the bookies using this inside info.
