  1. Karius can be sh*t for the next 20 games. He'll still be in credit relative to the Ming.
  2. Yep. I hated that Digger crap. I've felt this for years. I'm glad Gayle has said this. He knew what word was in the head of so many white lads when they saw a black man, back then.
  3. The goals against column isn't the reason we lost that league. In fact to even talk about us 'losing't that league is madness. We start that season as 5/6th favourites for the league. We are deemed to have a much weaker team and squad than the likes of Arsenal, City, Chelsea and even United. What we do is almost achieve a modern sporting miracle (diminished by Leicester's actually achieving one of these). We score 101 goals ffs. It's the highest total in our post war history. We 'lost' the league for one of two reasons, and probably a combination of both - 1) incredible bad luck, Gerrard's slip. That doesn't happen, we draw in all likelihood, and comfortably negotiate Palace and Newcastle. 2) Nerves. We bottle it, because of our lack of experience. Obviously we can look over the season at goals against, but the fact is we put ourselves in a position to win that title with 3 games to go. It was not our defence that cost us against Chelsea.
  4. Exactly. Kloppo has been blagging us all along. He knows the Ming is sh*t. He's always known the MIng is sh*t.
  5. Interesting in the sense that he must surely stick with the man he brought in to replace Mignolet interesting. In signing Karius he had to have an opinion on who was the better goalkeeper of the two. There's no way he just plumped for signing parity with the Ming. So, in truth, he either saw him as MIgnolet's understudy or successor. The smart money is on the latter.
  6. He might be our new best player.
  7. Superb.
  8. That's a very fair summary.
  9. He's the perfect first team utility player.
  10. Exactly. I was fuming with Mignolet for that.
  11. chelsea was a p*sstake, but then adding City to that mix changed everything. I can't get vitriolic about FSG, but when a better option comes along they'd better play ball.
  12. He punched well once, punched badly once, and missed his punch altogether once. I'm watching him like a hawk. What kills me about him is his failure to contribute anything to counter attacks. He never ever fails to slow things down.
  13. Logically you're 100% right, but.....it's the Kop. It would mess with my mind man.
  14. Lovren is superb.
  15. Wonderful wonderful player.
  16. Jo-el Jo-el Jo-eeeeel
  17. I don't like these continued denials about selling up. Stop denying it boys.
  18. I'm hearing : MIgnolet Clyne Lovren Matip Milner Henderson Wijnaldum Lallana Mane Firmino Sturridge
  19. State of Ian Ayre.
  20. Yeah. She's my mate. So, yano. And she's good at what she does more often than not.
  21. Who is getting slagged off here ? Melissa ? She's great. End of.
  22. S'funny, but it depends which side I get out of the bed as to whether or not I see things the way you've described. You're not wrong, but..... They'd say... - look at some of the gross (and even net) spends we've facilitated. It's not entirely our fault if loads of players bought have been sh*t. - we did nearly 'deliver' the league in 2014. LFC have never been closer since 1990. - LFC have been in 4 cup finals in our tenure. Again, near misses. - We delivered Suarez (retained him for a bit too) and brought in Klopp. - The club is genuinely on a sound financial footing now. We are ready to move on to a 'phase 2' of our ownership, where we will get rewards for our groundwork - Man City have come into play in a huge way during our tenure, and that is another major block on our top 4 prospects. Yes, we've hardly finished 5th every year, but if that was the target we'd have made it a few more times (not prioritised cups). - kept the club at Anfield, built a great new stand, preserved identity. etc On balance, I want them to sell to the Chinese quick style
  23. You could say that about the summer we sold Ian Rush because we still had change after buying Barnes or Beardsley. A bad window is when you sign all crap players who have no impact on your team. On early showings we must be hugely encouraged by Mane, and cautiously optimistic about Matip, at the very least. If these two are successes, anything positive we get from Wijnaldum and co is a bonus. Also, a bad transfer window often involves selling an important player and failing to replace him. We've sold no important players.
  24. Punctuation would provide grammatical clarity and in turn more tangible information which bearer of dubious truths wishes to avoid so as to reduce accountability for speculative statement or at the very least poorly sourced rumour dressed up as privileged information im not judging it's human nature ive probably done it myself unconsciously when I've felt I might not be on very firm ground
