no... im saying he could have played him and not Suso (well he wasnt ont the bench either, but that was because Rodgers preffered Suso) so it shows Rodgers has balls for playing a youngster. I never want to see Downing playing for us ever again.
-
we should have stopped playing him a l-o-n-g time ago. but he still could have played him yesterday. we shouldnt play him anywhere.
-
it was a red card the second evans started acting hurt. nothing we could have done at this point to change it. that was a very hard tackle (by both players), and a united player acted hurt. thats always a red..
-
It was Evans not ferdinand and he didnt dive. Sky showed Evans didnt touch the ball but he caught Suarez.
-
Are you meaning when Johnson was hacked down from behind and nothing was given? I've excluded that as the ref ignored it. Based on this from the post: I only just seen your other posts so my former one was irrelevent.sorry.

the debatable penalty on Glen against city (i dont think it was a penalty but I think the other big teams are more then likely to get a penalty for it). we deserved at least one penalty against Arsenal. a clear foul by Mertersaker on Suarez (and a red card as he prevented a clear goalscoring chance) and debatable penalty for Vermalens handballing the ball. we also deserved a penalty yesterday for Evans`s tackle on Suarez as shown on sky studio.

the more I see the tackle the more angry I get. thats a red card for evans, no question about it. Jonjo went in hard (very hard) but fair. this is absolutely shocking.
-
Are you really that surprised? it was one of the most awful, one sided games of referee I have ever seen, and probably the worst but I cant say for sure as I dont remember. 3 big big game changing decisions, all wrong, all against us. and then the card for rvp tackle and the other minor incidents. was shocking. everyone I talk to (not liverpool fans) agree it was shocking, some are united fans.

he could have played Downing.
-
we needed a 20m winger/attacker. the problam is downing is more like a 2m player.
-
Kompani was a great signing.. he was well known but went a bit off radar and didnt cost them much.
-
not only the major ones. they got absolutely every 50/50, big and small. how can anyone say it isnt corruption? if it was just incompetense then surely some of the decision would have to go our way. usually when a ref makes a bad call, a big one, he then tries to even it out when he gets a chance. surely by half time he knew he made the wrong decision to sent off Jonjo, yet he ignored a penalty on Suarez, gave a penalty for nothing to valencia, and only gave yellow cards to 2 violent tackles from ginger t**t and rvp. a friend of mine (support those f**kers) says we were robbed by an awful referee and he usually just laughs when I talk about the bent referees.

standing up against ferdinand and the drunk. a kid. hes becoming a hero. I think I saw earlier that Holden tweeted something like "evans 2 footed tackle. looks familier".

We need to sort his contract NOW! came on with a man down against them, and looked great. took on players, played smart, had one very good through ball for suarez. this kid is a top prospect and he showed today he can already take part in the toughest of games. Posters here give me banter for wanting Pacheco to play instead of Downing. I didnt want Pacheco to play, I wanted Downing to be dropped. he doesnt deserve to play. every kid we give a chance shows Downing for what he is. they are all better then him. an 18 year old kid with his first senior game when the world is watching one of the biggest games there is shows more balls then 28 year old full international showed for a year. And good to see Rodgers proving that its not how old you are but how good you are. he has massive balls!

still angry. our luck is so bad for years now, but that has nothing to do with today. today, the m*ther f**ker ref raped us. Its not only the big mistakes, it was almost every little one as well. what is the point i dont know. how can you beat them on the long run? as for us, we were great. we didnt let them breath even when down to 10, up until 70 minutes. we wre by far the better team and in complete controll. we build comfortably from the back, pressed like we were obssessed. we created some good chances. Borini needs to find his feet but he has great movement (although i dont like seeing him on the wing) and everyone of them today played well. Rodgers showed balls again, finally dropping the awful Downing and putting on Suso a man down against this lot. and the boy repaid his faith. there are very good signs.

That I would actually like to see..
-
I like Kelly too, I just dont think he is a FB. Doesnt have the agility for it. He is a CB.
-
I think he looked shot almost everytime he got on the pitch in the past 2 years. What we saw from Suso last night was what I expected. brilliant in flashes. I hope we sort his contract fast as he is a top talent.
-
We could also do with Shelveys goal threat.. this is why Gerrard should play deep. we need his pace and strength for when they brake. Let Shelvey play more advanced with his movement and shooting ability. are you serioulsely advocating Downing as a LB against Valencia or Nani?
-
Very good tonight. very composed. the player I had the most confidence in at defence as the game progressed. I would have liked to see him supporting the attack more but I undrestand why he didnt. and what a great leap for his goal..
-
looks useful. quick, takes on players.
-
Well I enjoyed that. Wisdom was vey impressive and Suso had a good game as well I thought. Borini has briliant movement off the ball. nothing new with Shelvey.. on the downside, Downing is pure s**t. Enrique needs to get better and fast because he is very poor atm. And Carra just isnt good enough anymore.
-
My head will explode because Downing will be s**t and keep getting on the pitch.
-
I thought he was poor against sunderland, poor against arsenal. He wasnt the only one, but he didnt start the season well. And Im not calling for him to be dropped. Im just saying that If we are looking for Henderson to be involved, Gerrard looks like he could use a break. F**k off about Pacheco. I think he isnt as awful as p**s poor Downing. thats it. then again I would rather have Gulasci playing ahead of Downing.
-
zero goal threat in this trio.. I rate Henderson but I can understand why Shelvey is ahead of him. Shelvey is a goal threat. he drives forward all the time. If anything, I think Henderson should replace Gerrard as he started the season in a very poor form.
