If Mourinho had any gumption at all he'd have started with the infinitely smarter Crespo than begin with Drogba.... Tactically lump the ball to the big fella or smack it down the flanks for Duff and Robben to chase didn't cut it and was never going to. But of course, to adopt a more sophisticated approach to the game would have been to invite direct comparison (him) with Rikjaard and (his team) with Barcelona and he wasn't going to do that.
