The thing that worries me about Benayoun is that although he had a great game against us in the Cup Final he is a player who cuts in all the time from the right and is just like Garcia imho. If we are to sign a right sided player then i would like it to be a winger who is going to stay out there and give us width, not a player who will cut in all the time.

Its always beyond me how ppl can say we are skint - other then Chelsea we are nearly always amonst the top spenders in the league. Just because we arent going crazy throwing cash around doesnt mean we aint got no money. I think Leeds are a prime example of how that can backfire. Regarding the Echo article saying we only have about £12 million to spend, well Bascombe is hardly going to come out and say we are loaded is he otherwise the prices of all the players we are interested in shoot up. Imho we are one of the few top clubs who financially are stable. We arent reliant on a Sugar Daddy or in massive debt and i for one are grateful to Moores and Parry for that.

Although i would be sad to see him go i think you can include Didi to that list. He has been a great servant to the club and would be a great player to have as back up but at his stage in his career he might want 1st team football which i dont think he is. Hope he stays however as he will be offered another seasons deal due to the amount of games he played last season.
