If he hadnt played for us already, I think he would be worth a gamble of 5-6 million tops. The problem is that so much of what he was good at involved pace, and the ability to do great things at incredible pace. His age, allied to his injury record in the past 18 months will surely erode his greatest asset. That said, he's easily good enough to adapt his game to allow for that, like Shearer did, like Owen seemingly cannot.
