  1. No he doesn't. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...ufnwhite111.xml
  2. You clearly give a f*** about the neutrals, as every article written by one gets posted and derided here, with a slightly paranoid 'everyone hates us' cry going up.
  3. OK, I see what you're saying, but let me ask you something. Can you not understand that a "neutral", as the ladies and gentlemen of the press are supposed to represent, would have been disappointed that it is Liverpool Chelsea instead of Arsenal Chelsea - the respective styles would have made for a more open game, in a neutral point of view. As LFC fans, I completely undestand the lack of significance of flair and style to you, and agree with everything that has been said about is in regard to no points for artistic merit, etc - I really crave some of the grit that you have - however, again from the point of view of a neutral - Tuesday was probably not the outcome they were hoping for. Unquestionably your team has qualities to be admired, but these qualities do not always make for massively entertaining matches.
  4. This is a Liverpool FC site, and clearly you guys set the agenda of what you discussed, but I am amazed how much time this week sticking the knife into Arsenal, the fans, the manager. You beat us fair and square, you are in a semi-final - I dont understand why you aren't focussing on that, rather than revelling in the pain caused to the team you beat. We may not be the best fans in the world, by some distance, but if we were in your position, the QF would have been done, dusted and all attention on the SF, not constantly going back and laughing at another re-hashed interview with a manager who is clearly devastated?
  5. The bloke is a c*** of the very highest order, an embarrasment of an arsenal fan.
  6. Blimey, not much slack cut here if you step away from the party line!
  7. Were my sentiments exactly, I just couldnt articulate it as well
  8. I want never gets. Especially in this particualr situation. Never gonna happen.
  9. The pain is gradually subsiding, so I can absorb these digs better than on Wednesday!
  10. Lukasz Fabianski, paid very little (how surprising!) and havent seen much of him. Solid shot stopper, and supposed to be highly rated, but I am far from convinced he is the real deal. I think, with the madman set to leave, we definitel need to sign a quality experienced keep to put pressure on Almunia, who I still dont trust as far as I could throw!
  11. I reckon Bentley is the pick of the 3. Wouldnt fit into the Arsenal side, as we don't really do crosses, and doesnt have pace, but I could see him being an excellent line of supply to Torres, Crouch etc. Outstanding crosser and longer range passer. Downing is way overhyped imo, and Young i'm not sure about. Havent seen that much of him play, but when I asked a Watford supporting mate if he was worth what Villa paid, he reckoned that even at 10m that they had been short changed.
  12. I know, just seen that - quite remarkable timing. Quite sad really that such a hero has eroded the majority of goodwill most Gooners felt towards him. Cracking buy, at the time, but needs to get out now.
  13. The rest of them were far too busy plotting how they could, once again, claw defeat from the brink of victory. But they needn't have worried about it - Kolo was two steps ahead of them all!
  14. I have enjoyed, and hope to enjoy many fine moments in my life. That was not one of them.
  15. I dont even remember seeing a dance. I just remember picking myself up from the floor in time to hear Clive Tyldseley should 'Penalty'. Although I didnt see the challenge happen the first time, and didnt know who had got it, the roar of the crown instinctively told me that the word 'Penalty' did not warrant further celebration on my part. I was, unfortunately, quite correct.
  16. I know, it's quite unerring. My seat at the EMirates is right above the away dugout, and when you scored in the 1st leg, he didnt flinch at first, then got straight up and started barking orders at Gerrard. No hint of celebration, really quite cold. Personally, I enjoy seeing the passion that le boss feels in victory and defeat.
  17. I suppose it comes down to perception at the end of the day - you guys know a lot more about, and are more interested in the story with the Americans, but like I said, as an outsider looking in, that was far more of a Blackadder style pants-on-the-head and pencils-in-nose episode than Arsene bemoaning a questionable decision, and confidently stating that he believed that his side could win both major honours. Could, not would being the operative word. And, lets be honest, how many people thought he was cracking up a few years ago, when, after getting done by the Mancs in the league yet again, he believed they could go through a whole season unbeaten. The papers anihilated him, and then in a few short months........
  18. It never looked that he was complaining about not having money to spend, it looked like he had the serious hump that he had been told by this bosses to get on with his job.
  19. Not off hand, no.
  20. From an outsider looking in, it was like a petulant schoolboy who had been scolded by a teacher. I guess we can agree to disagree - you will never see the same things as I will in Arsene, and vice versa.
  21. No, I was illustrating that when the pressure comes on, all Managers have a tendency to act slightly bizarrely.
