  1. 5. Running down the touchline at OT going apes*** when Porto beat them.
  2. I respect their Manager, I respect the majority of their players. I respect their history and traditions, I respect the atmosphere their fans generate, which is second to none in this country. Its not a Scouse love-in, just an answer to your question. They represent many of the things that your mob simply dont.
  3. Pathetic how you want to come across as one of the boys, through visceral hate of Utd Not at all, I have a healthy respect for Liverpool - theres things and people I dont like about them, but I largely respect them and their values. I loathe pretty much everything about the culture of your s***-stinking club, and everything it stands for. This is perfectly demonstrated by your Manager who represents the antithesis of all that should be good about football.
  4. I do beieve there was a tongue-in-cheek element to that.
  5. I like the sheer irony of the Manc fans trying to defend the moral high ground in a thread entitled ' Ferdinand kicks female steward and Manc players fight with Chelsea stewards'. Defending the indefensible?
  6. Paul Scholes, having commentators up and down the land chuckling at his 'forward's tackle' for 10 years, says it all really.
  7. Good players, playing good football, but morally bankrupt. The double standards never cease to amaze.
  8. I think the main difference is thoat a question mark remains over Benayoun's ability, which cannot be said for Hleb.
  9. I stumbled across it, and it seemed like a place to chat football in (mostly) intelligent and knowledgeable company. Something you don't readily find at redcafe, glory-glory ( ), or, admittedly, arsenal mania. That OK with you?
  10. No, definitely not. It needs urgent investment in that area, as the answer doesnt really lie within. Its concievable that Hleb could be replaced with internal youth (although risky) but the DM position is so critical. Why he didnt send Diarra on loan so he could fet his place for the Euros, then bring him back, is beyond me. He's a bit of an enigma really - some of what he does rteflects the very best of our play, and some the very worst. Notably his pathological refusal to shoot!
  11. The two Mancs who have posted on here today are not doing much to disprove my initial theory that they are all, in fact, c***s.
  12. Still don't see the relevance. What point are you trying to make exactly?
  13. I'm sure thats sarcastic, but also true. Not sure he's worth the 'English Tax' that we would be forced to pay.
  14. Flamini completely changed the whole style of the team - he was aggressive and pro-active, and kept the tempo of the team very high, which helped us along, but I think may have contributed to running out of steam in the end. Gilberto is completely reactive, and although he does what he does well, I think its too much for the team to adapt to swapping such a fundamental style change week in week out. Therefore, when Flamini was fit, he played.
  15. Totally agree - I can think of 4-5 creative attacking midfielders who may be available, can't think of any in the Flamini mould.
  16. Money talks unfortunately - easily doubled his money by moving on. He's got form as well - pretty much did the same to Marseille.
  17. No great loss really. Would never wish ill on someone, unless they mvoed to a direct rival. Yes Cashley, that means you Tough one that - with hindsight, probably he should. Flamini was something of a surprise package though - Gilberto was in the Copa America in August, and Diarra only signed on deadline day. Flamini got a chance that he took with both hands, and became pretty much undroppable. If there was no Copa America, or if Diarra had signed earlier, i'm pretty sure there would have been no move to Milan for him. I'm pretty disappointed to lose him, but I give him 100% credit for not letting his performances drop when it was all going on.
  18. How's that in any way relevant? For the record, no I'm not a northerner - i'm from London, live in Ireland, and have a season ticket.
  19. Sorry, I don't agree with that. In days gone by, yes, not now.
  20. I think he went with the form duo, Flamini and Fabregas, which its hard to argue with. The problem was that it excluded Diarra, who would have been a cracking replacement. Flamini was, in my view, never going to sign on, and its quite hard to blame him. Its funny though, the number of players who have left Arsenal thinking the grass would be greener, and found out otherwise is staggering. I think Flamini will struggle in Serie A.
  21. I can't decide if I miss him or not. He was quite good value at some points, but often went too far. Some humerous lines here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funny_old_game/7004282.stm
