Nah, with the exception of Ferdinand, the English players played OK across the games, it was tosspots like Morientes and Garcia who should be worried. I'm putting a tenner on Spain getting knocked out at the group stages if your theory is true fella..!!

If you read it properly you'll see that the thread is about a Cisse/Fowler partnership coupled with the strong midfield. It can't be any worse than what we have now...!

Firstly I'd like to say congrats to Benfica on a good win over 2 legs. They had a game plan last night and they stuck to it. We should all appreciate that. Secondly, as a Liverpool fan for a quarter of a century now, I was appalled to see that only 4/5 players last night showed any sign of passion towards that badge and that red shirt. I have stuck my head on the line recently at work to colleagues who support other teams, and defended Nando Morientes, Djibril Cisse and the like, but last night they let the fans, the club, the tradition, the folklore and the memories of last season down. How they can sleep at night just strolling into games with a view to finishing them and picking up their huge paypackets, and not giving a damn. Stevie G, Jamie Carra, Xabi Alonso, Harry Kewell were for me the only players who looked hurt and anxious that we were heading out. Cisse was a disgrace. He came on and did absolutely NOTHING. His crossing was awful, his desire and drive was non-existent, and as for Morientes... ....well, I'll leave that to you.

Agreed. But are we not all feeling the same things as we were against Olympiakos last year..? We showed that we were the better team and that we could overturn anything reasonable thrown at us. We should NEVER go into any game with arrogance, we've all seen what happens to Chelski when that happens. What we SHOULD do is go into a game like this with confidence in ourselves and expect us as supporters to do just that and support the lads tonight. We'll win tonight, but it won't be easy. But, we'll win..!

How can Fowler be cuptied for the Champs League..?? When did you see Manc City play in the tournament..?? Agger is cuptied as Brondby played earlier in the tournament. Shame, cos Bambi Traore is shaky in the centre to say the least...

Taking my missus to the Fulham game next week (thanks to "You Know Who" on this board.) We met early last year, and she watched the Champs League run in with me from Olympiakos onwards. She's me lucky charm now, and I'm convinced she helped us win it..! I will admit that i was completely despondant at half time in the final. But she said "we can still score 3". I was thinking "that's such a girly thing to say"..... ....the rest, as they say, is history...

So Pro 5 is worth getting then..? Does it have the right kits and team names etc..? I seem to remember Pro 4 had Merseyside Reds playing in a kit something akin to that of a cheap set from JJB sports..!
