  1. You don't believe this do you dodgy lad..???
  2. ...fecking CLASS..!! His son's an ugly little tw*t too isn't he...? Another South Park character in real life. Massive heed..! "Like an Orange on a cocktail stick"... ...Nice one reds..! Had a great time watching that tonight. And, welcome back Momo..! Great game.
  3. You know what they were doing don't you..? Ali G impressions! Cisse was mimicking having a goatie like Ali G - hence passing them to Dudek afterwards. The Dude tried em on and Moro was pissing himself laughing..!!
  4. For me there are 2. 1) Stevie's against Olympiakos - cos it all started at the moment his boot connected with the ball - "YOU BEAUTY...!!" 2) Johnny Riise's free kick at the Anny Road end against Manure. Brilliant..! Barthez looked stunned..! YNWA
  5. Errr, I'm quite new to the board, so - I apologise. I just thought he was class against Newcastle. Just seems to be very assured in everythin he does. He didnt stand a chance with their goal.
  6. Just how brilliant Pepe Reina is. He is solid, makes very few, if any, mistakes, and is a world away from the high tensions of watching Dudek and the likes of James etc. Any time a ball was delivered into Dudek or James' areas, we all held our breaths for fear of a fumble or weak punch, but i just don't get that feeling with Pepe. Sign here if you appreciate just how ace he really is. PS - I will always love Jerzy for what he did in Istanbul, but on the whole, Reina is the better option.
  7. Agreed. Stevie Warnock was great today. Nice on lad.
  8. Reckon he had chips with that Elisha..?? I reckon SG is a big chips and ketchup fan..!! Red sauce and all that..!
  9. Completely agree fella..! Enjoyed the match though - bit of a release like, and especially the banter between a fella in the centenary stand and Radzinsky..! "You should have stayed on £30 a week at Everton...!!"
  10. I stick to my original guess of 3-0 to us. Fowler, Gerrard and Kewell.
  11. I hear what you're saying, but we are progressing, slowly, but surely. Look at the wider picture....
  12. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...060313-1953.htm A great article on the LFC.tv site from a guy I've never heard of. Really does sum up a lot of the posts on here and it's a good read after a bad few games. "The defeat to a very good Arsenal side on Sunday was a blow but, after an indifferent Premiership season of their own, Arsene Wenger's team met Liverpool at just the right time. The Gunners confidence is sky high right now after knocking Real Madrid out of the Champions League and all of their young players seem to be rising to the top of their game when it matters most. Liverpool, meanwhile, have had their confidence rocked in recent weeks and losing their grip on their Champions League crown last week will have probably hurt them more than they care to admit. Liverpool supporters today should take comfort in the fact that even defeat on Sunday only allowed Arsenal to move within eight points of their club. I wonder how many fans would have settled for a lead like that over Wenger's side at this stage of the season back in August when the Premiership kicked off? Everyone always goes on about Liverpool needing to catch Chelsea but I think that's missing the point somewhat. In living memory, I can't recall one team who has jumped from fifth in the Premiership to winning the title the following year. It just doesn't happen. What Liverpool needed to do this season was improve their Premiership form and bring some consistency to their game. In my eyes, they've done that. I'm sure at the start of the season, Rafa probably had Arsenal and Manchester United in his sights far more than Chelsea. Jose Mourinho's side are in a league of their own when it comes to winning matches week in and week out in the Premiership and while I believe that Liverpool will eventually mount a realistic title fight against the Blues under Benitez, it's Arsenal and United that must be conquered first. To sit eight points ahead of Arsenal with just 9 games of the season remaining is astonishing. Arsenal may be a side in transition but so to are Liverpooland to be eight points ahead of a team who last season finished 25 points ahead of you is what I call progress. Forget the 37 points Chelsea finished ahead of Liverpool last year, if Liverpool can even make up 25 points on Arsenal this season you'd have to say that's a successful season. Yes, losing to Benfica may have surprised some people and the defeat would have hurt but, realistically speaking, winning the Champions League again this season was unlikely for Liverpool. Not many teams retain the Champions League and I don't think Liverpool have anything to be ashamed about in going out in the knock-out stages after such a gruelling season that has not only seen them compete in three domestic competitions but also the Champions League, Super Cup and World Club Championships. Liverpool should now forget about the Benfica defeat now and concentrate on the domestic affairs with the FA Cup still there to be won. Benitez had a brilliant first season, winning the European Cup, and I'm sure he'd love to add another trophy to the cabinet this season. The manager knows deep down that scoring goals has been a real problem for Liverpool this season and, in the end, it was probably the only reason why they weren't in the hat for the Champions League quarterfinal draw on Friday. Fernando Morientes has struggled to adapt to the English game, while Djibril Cisse seems out of favour. I remember watching Cisse playing for France Under-17s and I thought he was the best player I have ever seen, but he had a bad injury last season and isn't someone you would class as a regular now. Crouch has his qualities but he isn't a prolific striker and while Robbie Fowler is still capable of scoring goals. Even he would admit that he isn't the same player as he was in his prime at Anfield. Liverpool won the European Cup last season without having what I would say was a world-class striker capable of scoring 20-plus goals in a season but I think the Reds were the exception to the rule. You won't find many teams winning the Champions League without a really prolific striker. Indeed, Chelsea have a similar problem and that's why they went out to Barcelona but I think Benitez will address the situation at Liverpool in the summer. While many comment on the lack of goals in the current side, in my opinion, Liverpool are only a couple of genuine world class players away from having the perfect team; one that's capable of putting real pressure on Chelsea's Premiership crown. Defensively they are brilliant and the midfield is really strong. In key areas, Benitez has some of the best players in the Premiership ? Reina, Carragher, Finnan, Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko who are the real backbone of the team. It just needs some final touches to turn Liverpool into a great team. Until those new players arrive to complete the jigsaw, Liverpool still have much to play for between now and the end of the season. I think they have a great chance of winning the FA Cup and I would predict a Liverpool v Chelsea final. Liverpool can rattle Chelsea, as we saw last season, and are more than capable of matching them and beating them in a one-off game. The thought of Steven Gerrard lifting the cup in Cardiff should be enough to lift every Liverpool fan after Sunday's disappointing defeat." Well said i reckon. Thoughts....???
  13. Bit like Man Utd, they've only had a C cup to lift this year..!
  14. Bloody hell Stevie, you have a way with women eh..?? I reckon Kevin Keegan has him wearing Brut 66 again...!!
  15. http://www.visitbritain.com He basically ran onto a ball at the back post and was in there like a dart. I honestly can't remember the last time we scored a bog standard goal like that.
  16. I am all for Darren Bent coming to Liverpool. He scored a goal last night against Boro, using a move which was a world away from anything any of our strikers have shown this season. It's called "making a run"...!!
  17. Anyone got any ideas for the Fulham game..? I've a feeling Morientes will be back with Fowler up front. Stevie & Didi in the middle, Harry and Kromkamp on the wings. Finnan, Sami, Carra and Bambi at the back with Pepe in goal. I made a prediction a couple of weeks ago that Robbie would be scoring his first goal back for us against Fulham, and I still reckon that to be the case. Further predictions from me is that Stevie will play a blinder and Morientes will actually give a s***..! (well, I can hope for the second part of that last sentence anyway..! ) Thoughts please....????
  18. I hear Stevie Wonder was the top scorer in France in the 04/05 season..!
  19. Completely agree. I think we need to look at stronger more consistently fit strikers than Owen. He is a LFC great already, but I don't think he is the solution.
  20. I have been criticised for being too negative in recent times on here. But it's to change starting right now..! We all need to get our chins up...!! (Players included) We all know that we have it in us to be as good as, if not better than Chelsea - so we need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and say FECK IT. We're going for second place, and we're going to win the FA Cup. We know we can do it, and we know we are better than we are now, so let's get our arses in gear and start on Wednesday with Fulham...!! We can run rings round them, and we can knock in at least 3 goals. YNWA lads...!!!!

  22. I see what you mean, but I reckon he should go public occasionally. I really do. He comments on Morientes finishing really well in training, we don't win trophies at Melwood do we..? Sorry, just still seething about the chances we could have put away on Wednesday night.
  23. Rafa and Garcia are quoted on the Liverpool FC.tv site as the lack of goals on Wednesday night being down to bad luck. Firstly chaps, Crouch hitting the ball at the keeper's legs when clean through wasn't bad luck. It was bad finishing. Carra's headed effort against the post was possibly bad luck. Garcia and Cisse looking like they couldn't give a flying sh*te wasn't bad luck, it was sickening lack of passion. Simao's goal wasn't bad luck, it was bad defending and a majorly fantastic finish. Rafa, we hold you in the highest esteem for what you've done for us, but please, please come out and criticise someone..?? Please..? Don't take us for mugs. YNWA, but kick some of these chaps up the jacksie - it just might do them some good..! *Rant over - gets breath back!*
  24. Why's that Knoxy lad..??
