His crossing looked decent at Leverkusen. His pass completion in general this season has been utterly woeful, even simple 5 yd passes are going astray. It's actually hard to watch - feel a bit sorry for him.

Minteh definitely looks like a better buy than Sarr albeit the prices mentioned for him are crazy given his stats and the fact he's injured for 2 months. I wouldn't actually mind Sarr as backup to Isak as well as an option for RW but only as long as we got another RW too. But £80m on backup would be a bit mad given we need to buy a decent midfielder too. Proper mess.

If this was happening at the start of the window then probably. It would at least then give us time to bid properly for a quality replacement not a make-do - which both Sarr and Neto would be. Selling a player to City and helping Chelsea's financial diddling by buying one of their failures for a crazy sum would be real weird/f***ing unpalatable in general tho.

Gakpo to Sarr would be a big step down. Even allowing for a big net gain in terms of fee. Sarr is a year older too. Edit: Gakpo is 2 years younger

Yeah I'd find it a bit weird to accept TAA back with open arms but I'd soon forget about it after a few killer passes to put Isak in. Quite weird how we so rarely do the pinged ball over the top like we used to for Mo. I seem to recall Isak scoring loads from those for Newcastle.

I suppose the goal against Spurs when he got injured was kind of a one on one. But yeah he's not had a bundle of chances. His first touch has been very inconsistent tho and he could've created two decent chances for himself today with the sort of first touch he showed loads for Newcastle. Also should've done better with the chance where he went with the wrong foot too.

Yeah in this market he must be worth a good chunk more than Savinho. If this was earlier in the window (f*** you, Hughes) we'd maybe have time to buy a Gakpo replacement and money towards another player with his transfer fee. Given the timescales and state of the squad, keeping Gakpo is the only sensible move now. I still feel like he's going to be sold tho.

No way we should be relying on Munoz as back up striker as well as an option for RW and LW. Gakpo is currently our best option for back up striker altho he looked limited there last season. I sort of assume Gakpo is leaving tho - not that I think we should let him go now.

Definitely. We need a back up striker too. Unless one of the wingers is also a decent option as cover for Isak. No chance of getting him now (Glasner sanctioning a last minute transfer - yeah we know how that ends) but I really like Neco Williams - great RB and can cover LB. The number of vital tackles he makes is insane - or is it mainly just against us he does that?

I meant it's an odd observation to say he's not rapid when he's shown he is several times. The only player in the team that looks like he can run quickly with the ball. Frimpong runs quickly. He just forgets to take the ball with him a lot of the time.

Get Frimpong off for Araujo. We should buy back Neco Williams he'd be a huge improvement at RB (and can clearly play LB too).

Odd take that. He's shown 2 or 3 times he's quick. We're generally a mess at the moment. Being carved open by Forest who haven't scored in 3 games - but for excellent play from Alisson we'd be 3 down at least.

Awful touch from Isak. Not had much to feed off but he's got to make those chances count.
