  1. ok statos....where are you all ! so whats the least amount of goals we have conceded at home in all competitions in a single season???
  2. oops ok finnan bk in for krompkamp
  3. reckon sissoko might be rested for this along with finnan.....with us possibly sitting deep and trying to hit benfica on the break, i reckon cisses pace as an outlet might be used. -------------reina----------- kromp--carra-hyypia-riise ------alonso--hamann----- -gerrard-garcia-----kewell ------------cisse------------
  4. no hes been good.....though certainly not "very, very good".......
  5. Exactly, has been fit so far this season and either starts or comes of the bench in every game.
  6. im with Spanish fan and figaro on this... Kewell certainly is playing well at the mo, but is it enough??? to be honest from seeing what kewell was capable of at leeds i expect alot more from him.....he definetly has lost a yard of pace and isnt really beating players.
  7. i loved that, you could just see what his plan was.......he does it so often and is the master at it! Brilliant player, maybe all our players should smoke 2 packs a day
  8. John-Anders Rise and he plays for Ham-Kam hahah gotta be a wind-up???
  9. for me, hes definetly lost a yard of pace and isnt beating players ans getting to the byline.
  10. no he hasnt.. kewell has certainly been playing his best footy since arriving at anfield, yet he never seems to take anyone on and get to the byline...more often than not, he takes the easy option and plays in the early cross. Basically he seems to have lost a yard of pace.
  11. so anyone know what the record is for most clean sheets in one season?? both us and other teams in general..
  12. question...............what happens when we get this right sided played everyone has been crying out for?? Alonso and Gerrard together with sissoko in for certain games? Personally feel one winger in the side is enough ie kewell, im more than happy to see gerrard continue in his zidane, nedved role and keep alonso and sissoko in the middle.

  14. stats for souness.. Date of Birth: 6-5-1953 1st team games: 358 1st team goals: 56 International caps while with Liverpool: 37 International goals while with Liverpool: 0 stats for Gerrard Position: Midfielder Date of Birth: 30/05/1980 1st team games: 321 1st team goals: 59 International caps: 39 International goals: 6 Gerrard not far away from beating souness` appearances, yet has already beaten the 56 goals from souness... Im not gonna compare honours won though
  15. cant argue with that, personally thought kewell had an average game last night...
  16. strange how time can slighty hinder the memory or enhance ones reputation.. Now Jan Molby was a great passer of the ball, but from how i remember him he was horribly inconsistent and was definetly a luxury player...he was unbelievable on his day, yet to have him in the side meant an adjustment to how the side was set up. A great midfielder, though not in the top 10 for me.
  17. ha! ok... so who is our greatest ever midfielder??? For me, Gerrard now has that....i believe as an all round player he has overtaken souness....regardless of the fact we havent won the league with gerrard in the side.
  18. one of those where your always thinking back to the greats and looking to compare.. Generally speaking many people believe souness was our greatest midfielder, now how does Gerrard compare?? Which other former reds can compete for the spot of being our greatest midfielder.. Mcmahon,Mcdermott, jimmy case.....any other names you`d like to nominate? Sometimes i think we take for granted just how good Gerrard is...
  19. he has just turned 21, still learning the game and at the moment is he is in the side to do the dirty work...which he does well.. His passing will definetly improve, how can it fail not to when he has alonso alongside him every week..
  20. would have been one of the greatest goals ever seen at anfield if riises strike had hit the back of the net... For me, he had a strange game last night...did well defensivly but some of his distribution was shocking
  21. Dudek...7 easy Finnan...7 solid Carra....7 easy Sami.....7 easy Riise.....666 strange Gerrard..7 worked Xabi......7 supreme Momo....8 vieira Kewell....666 weird Morientes..6 ok Fowler.....7 decent Cisse...5 alright Hamann..6 strong Garcia....7 goal!
  22. chelsea above us???? Im really suprised by that
  23. seriously, for the first half hour our movement, passing and all round play took me back to the days of Barnes,Beardsley..etc,etc You could tell the lads were up for the game and really wanted to put on a good display, yet after the pen we lost our way somewhat and slowly crept back into our shell.. After the pen it became a strange performance from us, not from lack of effort more from an eager to please perhaps, Riise for example was horribly inconsistent with his passing and kewell had the strangest game ive ever seen....Starting with his hair flying about, he tied it bk and showed us how to put in a decent cross, how to put in a horrible cross, how to beat a man, how not to beat a man, how to get the ball stuck under your feet, how to unstick the ball from under your feet, how to sky the ball into the kop...etc,etc Sissoko MOM for me, really was superb, best game from him since the trip to japan. Also would it be worth using garcia up front for the manc game, he certainly has that natural instinct to creep into areas and grab a goal..
  24. to be honest, id forgotten that zenden was even our player...
