Benny has been more effective on the left. Babel has shown improvement when played on the right lately. So why on earth doesn't Rafa go that route?

Yes, apparently so. It's a bummer, but understandable that they also felt let down.

The moment we had to balance the transfer budget I stopped expecting us to be up there with a real chance of winning the league. Not giving up though. Nor do I think that Rafa is infallible, but that 3rd attacking star is what we needed.

We were pushed back a bit too much for my liking. The strikers ending up too deep. Probably because our midfield cannot stand their ground and are too soft. Obviously the formation is a bit unusual and the players not 100% used to it, but I think Sunderland have been a bit lucky at the back, a little more precision a couple of times and we would have been through on goal. They were hanging on for a bit. Still think we will score.

Their idea of making money is making the top 4 every year I reckon.

Aye, I was getting really worried then. I dunno what got into the ref. He had been great in the first half, then he suddenly gave them everything and dished out a couple of soft yellows for us too. He got all the big calls correct though, apart from maybe the Vidic using arms on Torres in the box. I think Torres was using arms too a bit.
