I can readily believe that Hodgson is a good coach, which is a big plus. However, the last thing he won was 9 years ago, in Denmark. A track record would be a consoling matter in times of worry. Ok, he has been at small clubs. I get that. But how would he then cope at a bigger club where expectations are massive? And would he, at this age, have the fight in him? Additionally, even though we shouldn't ideally look to appease players, does he have a strong enough reputations, as in would such an appointment send the right signals of the clubs ambitions, both to current and future players? Sorry. Too many boxes unticked for me.
