    Dirk Kuyt

He played well but I have to admit, at the moment, he's looking less and less likely to actually score. I think we play better with both Kuyt and Pennant in the team but neither look like they'll ever score, its a conundrum
  2. I think we're all agreed our main problems lie at home this season. To those who say we lack cutting edge in the final third however - we have scored more goals than Chelsea at home and only 3 less than Arsenal (6 less than United) On the other hand we have conceded more goals than all three (only marginally in the case of Chelsea and Arsenal) Our biggest problem is in defence for the first time in a long long time (although I will concede that we do not create nearly enough clear cut chances) Maybe Wayne is right that we swap and change our full backs too often, so are you advocating more starts for Riise Wayne? as clearly Aurelio cant be played without being rotated - he's injured too often
  3. That team today was probably what the majority of fans would have gone for except maybe Crouch instead of Kuyt and Babel instead of Kewell.
  4. Our defence is not holding as well as it has and we are starting to concede from set plays. Having said that today we were very unlucky, the players deserve credit for giving their all under difficult circumstances.
  5. f*** that is so depressing but surely even they wouldnt walk away from a £50m profit for doing stuff all.
  6. It has been the fans for the past few months and, it has to be said, with very little success.
  7. I wonder if nows the time for the players to come out against the owners?
  8. I wish I could pull myself away from this computer screen, rollercoaster ride doesnt come anywher near describing my emotions over the last few weeks. Oliver Kay - pff
  9. It all counts no matter where it comes from
  10. Agree totally, at least start with Torres and Gerrard, even if its only for the first half.
  11. 1. Gerrard 2. Pennant 3. Babel

    Hicks:

It all changed after the Arsenal game according to Rafa - just after the deal with DIC fell apart?
  13. I think a move is being engineered for El Zhar hence a couple of first team appearances. Nemeth certainly looks worth a punt.

    SACK THE BOARD

Im stunned that the chuckle brothers have not been getting their full quota of criticism in the national press and Rafa has had to take the full brunt of their venom. You're right we need to enlighten the dozy f*****s where the REAL story lies.
  15. We need to stick this one out together - ignore the press and cheer the lads on to better performances
  16. Well at least the £1 billion has now been down graded to £500m. Perhaps realistic negotiations are more of a possibility now
  17. IMO Sammi's passing is much better than Jamie's.

    Pennant

The sooner Pennant is fit enough to play more regularly the better.
  19. I still say see where we are after next season although I really think the owners need to come out and back Rafa unconditionally. (I lost patience with GH after 2 seasons)
  20. I've no doubt the usual suspects will get a lot of stick on here but Xabi really needs to up his game
  21. Maybe our attacking play will improve now that we have a choice of two central defenders who can play higher up the pitch?
  22. Exactly, so we may as well start supporting the ones we have, you never know it might make a difference.
  23. Think Voronin's reaction when Crouch scores the goal is quite telling. He is more disappointed with himself for not scoring rather than happy that Crouch scores from the rebound.
  24. sorry it's impossible today

    Andy Gray

Well I actually laughed and applauded when they scored
