I agree, Luton certainly had all the desire today and deserved the result. Perhaps the chuckle brothers should refuse to pay our players wages for a few months and see if that gets them going again -

I'd have Masch over Alonso, but definately Alonso over Momo any day. Momo hasn't featured at all recently so hopefully the reported interest is true and the deal can be done before he leaves for Africa.

Quite surprised and saddened by this interview. Rafa has been making really promising noises recently so I expected that despite the silence all was more or less sorted behind the scenes. The two stooges need to get their finger out, if we lose Masch the majority of fans will be well and truly p***ed off.

I'm not suggesting Alonso is third choice, just suggesting that Gerrard is unlikely to be played on the right very often in the future. It will more likely than not be two out of the three (or four including Lucas) centrally except for the really big games against the top three.

Well I for one was relieved we didn't have to rely on Riise there!! Personally I thought he was shaky to start with but grew into it a bit more as the game wore on and at least he played the ball out of defense rather than just hoofing it.

absolutely untrue today (except for the pace thing) he showed some really good touches and awareness and his first touch was spot on 90% of the time. You sir are biased and cannot have an objective view.

Yossi was easily the most frustrating player out there today. I counted at least four times that he tried to skip past defenders rather than pass the ball to better placed teram mates. On each occasion possesion was lost and led directly to City mounting counter attacks that could have been dangerous on another day.

Why pick out Kuyt today? He was involved in the build up of the majority of our goal scoring opportunities today.

I'm not surprised he's done well at Bolton. On his few starts for us I always thought he looked calm and assured on the ball, he always seemed to find space and his passing was good, in fact he reminds me a lot of how Lucas has started his Liverpool career. I think we will sell him.

Haha we're now a two man team, being over reliant on Gerrard and Torres (how so when we rotate Torres so much however is beyond me)

Last season he was easily our best attacking player from January to May. Can't possibly say yet if he's good enough for us long term.
