He played well but I have to admit, at the moment, he's looking less and less likely to actually score. I think we play better with both Kuyt and Pennant in the team but neither look like they'll ever score, its a conundrum
I think we're all agreed our main problems lie at home this season. To those who say we lack cutting edge in the final third however - we have scored more goals than Chelsea at home and only 3 less than Arsenal (6 less than United) On the other hand we have conceded more goals than all three (only marginally in the case of Chelsea and Arsenal) Our biggest problem is in defence for the first time in a long long time (although I will concede that we do not create nearly enough clear cut chances) Maybe Wayne is right that we swap and change our full backs too often, so are you advocating more starts for Riise Wayne? as clearly Aurelio cant be played without being rotated - he's injured too often
Our defence is not holding as well as it has and we are starting to concede from set plays. Having said that today we were very unlucky, the players deserve credit for giving their all under difficult circumstances.
I wish I could pull myself away from this computer screen, rollercoaster ride doesnt come anywher near describing my emotions over the last few weeks. Oliver Kay - pff
Im stunned that the chuckle brothers have not been getting their full quota of criticism in the national press and Rafa has had to take the full brunt of their venom. You're right we need to enlighten the dozy f*****s where the REAL story lies.
I still say see where we are after next season although I really think the owners need to come out and back Rafa unconditionally. (I lost patience with GH after 2 seasons)
Think Voronin's reaction when Crouch scores the goal is quite telling. He is more disappointed with himself for not scoring rather than happy that Crouch scores from the rebound.
