  1. I have to disagree with that, nearly everything we hit at goal went straight at him. The only times it didn't, it went in.
  2. Since Kewell is fit and Garcia looks to be leaving the treatment tables are going to be empty, Rafa might want to keep the staff busy. Or maybe Rafa only wants him so he can give him the no. 57 shirt and let Carra and Stevie beat him up in the showers each day.
  3. Just make a new topic on a football web forum and it's bound to turn up.
  4. I didn't realise our singing about chavski having no history annoyed him so much, twice as loud this season then?
  5. You just know he'd fail the medical.
  6. Some sites already have a suicide watch set up. It's just crazy the things that some fans are posting on some sites, crazy.
  7. It's all smoke and mirrors, even seemingly 'good sources' are confused at the moment. I think that's exactly what the club want, this could be the bluff of the century. We get one shot at this, we have other teams with cash and the likes of newcastle prepared to jump in whenever they sniff we're after a player. That is why I think there has been a fair amount of disinformation leaked through the people that are known to leak information. Even if that isn't true, I'll wait a month before getting all worked up.
  8. Let other clubs splash the cash around, our targets are in place and I am sure we will get them. Just because a smaller club wants to splash ridiculous money on a player does not make that player any good, it just makes them expensive.
  9. It makes perfect sense and you answer your own questions. Tell everyone we have loads of cash or make it known we haven't got that much to spend after all. I know what makes sense to me. In the end it's not the rumours that matter, it's the signings. When they take place (or don't) then worry, until then enjoy the transfer speculation and the smoke and mirrors.
  10. I bet if I had put that then someone would have disagreed and put my first point. Thank god the man that has to make the decision has all the real facts.
  11. Don't you think the rotation system would suit him? If he stays at newcastle he will have to play every game, at least with us he will rotate and this could help him in the long term.
  12. Well he does train there, he wouldn't be the first player or ex player to be allowed to use a clubs training facilities and he won't be the last. Please don't put words in my mouth, I never said he was privvy to team talks. Gossip goes on everywhere and nobody can stop that.
  13. He didn't really help himself did he. We could all accept he left to play for Real but returning to Newcastle was a massive mistake. If he really wanted to 'win medals' then why sign for a club that he has the least amount of chance of getting one with. Then he made some comment pre the game at Anfield about celebrating a goal if he scored one. Is there any wonder he got stick? I've seen a fair few ex players score at Anfield and the ones I respect the most are the ones that turn and walk back to the halfway line. Not jump up and down like some crazed monkey like rooney did against his old team. Most of the stick he got was banter to be fair and as a player on the cash he gets he should understand and be able to take it. He's made some crazy decisions and ended up looking stupid. If he came back he would be on a diet of humble pie for years. Well until his hattrick against the mancs.
  14. So you've never chatted at work with people about things you shouldn't really know? The same kind of general chat that people believe Gerrard or owen himself has mentioned to Redknapp. It goes on in all walks of life. Apparently even Gerrard's musings can be read on a forum somewhere. I doubt maureen has guards following each and every member of staff around the complex just waiting to thump them with the butt of a rifle should they even mention his tactics or their transfer targets. I doubt he cares much if people make general sweeping remarks about the chance they might sign this person or that. To think that players and staff do not chat is niave.
  15. I think the initial poster was saying that Redknapp would have more chance of knowing some of the transfer news at Chelsea than he would at Anfield. Considering he spends a lot of time at their training ground he must hear things and speak to some of the players/staff. It doesn't really matter as there's a world of difference between knowing a player wants to come to us and knowing he is coming to us.
  16. Don't just sit on the fence though, give us your opinion. I think when he is playing pool with Carra and he sees the CL medals, (loser and winner) and the Super Cup medal along with the FA Cup medal. That will be enough punishment for him. If he does come back then it's forgive and forget as far as I am concerned. Although I really can't see it happening.
  17. Redknapp said on Sky that Crouch asked him about Liverpool before he signed and that he keeps in touch with him. Now unless he's 'name dropping' I think that's pretty conclusive.
  18. how? I'm pretty sure if you asked Gerrard and Carragher if they wanted him back the answer would be yes. I'm also pretty sure if you asked them 'is he coming back?' they could not answer. They don't know, as I said before. Rafa knows if he wants him, from then it's up to Owen, Newcastle and agents to sort.
  19. I don't doubt that, I also think he keeps in touch with them on a very regular basis. But as he does train with chelsea he will have some idea of what is going on there, more than he would at Anfield. To call it 'utter bitter b******s' is therefore a little unfair.
  20. He trains with chelsea doesn't he? Unless he has taken a vow of silence he must know some of the ins and outs of the chelsea team.
  21. I agree with your first point but not with your second. I think he would know if Owen wanted to come back but only Rafa knows if he will.
  22. He talks often with Owen, Gerrard and probably Crouch who he knows really well. You'd think that Owen might have a clue about his future and you can bet Gerrard and Carra would have an idea. That of course doesn't mean it will happen, Rafa has to want him back and under his terms. I think it would be a great move for him. At Newcastle he will be expected to play every game, at Liverpool he won't. This has to be a good thing considering his injury record. I am sure Rafa and his staff could get the very best from Owen and I for one hope he does return. He is wasted at Newcastle and he knows it.
  23. what was he going to do with a match programme and who the hell was he going to give it to then?
  24. No they forgave you that, it's the interpreter for the Celtic game you're in trouble for. A crippled child, get it right.
