Was in Hannah's in town yesterday and met Dirk Kuyts sister and her two crazy dutch mates!!! She looks like dirk in a wig hahaha. Agreed tho he should have started up top with Bellamy, expect that to be the forward line on tuesday

Is that a pisstake or what

I hope the walk of anfield legends from Goodison is still part of the plan , plus the re-location of the Monkey bandstand near goodison !!!! <doffs cap to architects>

Aright mate yep he's still a councillor and he's one of the main protestors to the Stanley Park move, he's basically representing the residents for his party in that area. Liberal Party or whatever it is. He left Marconi in November of last year. I work for the services part of old marconi , its called telent now and is based in Carr Lane Chorley. Ericsson bought the marconi products and brand for £1.2bn, then the services business worth £300m is whats left over called telent. <apologies for this non-stanley park related paragraph peeps >

The complexity of the project coupled with building on a listed victorian park caused the delay. Then you have the NWDA, Joe Kenny and lack of investment. Oh and Huyton Diao's mate Ronnie Radford and his keep Stanley Park for dog turds campaign

Think Carra will revert to RB if we have any crisis with Finnan. Alves in Jan then

I get the impression Rafa and the Liverpool staff like flo, hence the willingness to not fully transfer him over the years. They must believe he is still raw and needs to continue his football development by playing games. I think we will see flo in a red shirt again.

Did Sami really have that great a game as some on here suggest? Ok he clipped the post with a header .... I'll give you that one. (Opens can of worms and offers to the YNWA bretheren ) I thought he looked sluggish and his distribution was very poor. I think it's time for Agger to be slotted in alongside Carra. Thoughts please!

Gotta give credit to Sheff U as well, they were up for a battle from the off and defended great. Morgan was a star at the back for them.. the C*nt

One of those frustrating games that you get sometimes, usually at the start of the campaign. Take a point cos without that penalty we could have quite easily lost that game yesterday. Too many key players disjointed and not playing as we know they can. Hyypia's long punts to no one, Gerrard not involved enough on the ball out wide and head dropped on occasions, Kromkamp (say no more) plus the central midfield of Zenden and Sissoko struggling to acertain any dominance or composure on the game. Plus points for me were Fabio and Gonzalez though they both had decent games. All in all it was a point gained.

Luis is boss (like Momo ) , he will deffo start lots of games and also come off the bench. He is a quality player who has the skill and goalscoring talent to force himself into the reckoning. He wins big games with his goals.

Best summer in the transfer market since '87 ?
Ian Mc replied to David Hodgson's topic in Liverpool FC

I remember going to germany in the 90's (borrusia) for a four team tournament. We got mauled by Ajax 5 or 6 nil ... Mark Wright got subbed after like 1 minute on the pitch
-
Quality if Rafa can get the fee up to a potential £3M for Djimbo. No matter how s**** he was and is, that clearance off the line in Istanbul was worth all the horror shows since 99' ;o)

Dont like that design at all the liverbird seems too blocky

Kev if you wan Emile back - then i want Jimmy Carter back End of the day, Emile was an honest lad and a nice person sometimes that would often be to his detriment during games. His finishing in the main was woeful and if we want to be challenging for titles and champions league's then we can't afford to carry a player of that ability. Hence the reason djibril has been to told to do one.
-
Agreed him and Miguel of portugal have impressed me greatly whenever i have seen them. Miguel more so, although on a bosman Trabelsi would be a good attacking option considering our budget. Get him in Rafa .....

Did anyone else stick a small wager on Spain when 1-0 down? I lashed £50 on them to win at 15-8, nice £90 profit during season ticket payment week
-
Bizarrely enough, after i started this thread i heard that an investment offer is IMMINENT. Hopefully it means something happening very soon (days/weeks). May be a load of old blarney, hopefully it isn't, just passing on what i was told.
-
To be honest Cally i'm starting to agree with you, if neither materialise it would be a blow financially but as you say it ain't the end of the world. Less funds makes Rafa's job a lot harder but it's what we do on the pitch that ultimately counts.
-
I just hope with Rafa signing his new deal is a major hint that there is positive news around the corner. I need to go the ticket office this week to renew my seasie, i'm hoping the tall blonde with designer specs is on the counter. Quality her.

Can anyone else see both issues coming to a head before the Season starts? Things just seem to be dragging on without any information or any regular updates from the club. I understand regarding Investment all the confidentiality implications etc but what is the actual current state of affairs? Are we still in dialogue with potential investors like the past 3 years and basically that is it? How near to being closed is the investment? The new stadium is also turning into a farce IMO, again silence from the club. Everyon else is saying we won't be able to afford it. Everton are now saying their s*** pit will be built before ours! It's just frustrating, maybe the ticket office will know something Rant over

Does anyone know what happened today by the big screen in Clayton Square? I was watching the game in Aldos Place, but i heard it went off big time, bottles gettin lashed at the screen etc
