Crouch is a better footballer than Heskey, he's more intelligent on the ball. Goalscoring wise there isn't much between them. I'll always remember Heskey for that miss against Man Utd at Anfield and he felt the wrath of the kop hahaha was funny in hindsight!!! F*ck off heskey

In his defence he's one of the few players in the squad who can actually win matches. Frustrating litle player but while he's on the pitch he can win games and score goals.

Exactly they are the champions because they make the least defensive errors than the rest of us plus also kill games off with clinical finishing. Not many teams get the better of Chelsea, the level of focus they have must be commended IMO. Rafa is getting us to that level gradually unfortunately it takes time to build a team of that calibre and concentration with our resources. The important thing to note is how far we have progressed since Rafa has been here.

I've backed Cissé in the past hoping he would come good, but after today and other wretched performances from him he is not good enough. Today against a s**** Man Utd side we had control of the game, without really having the conviction to take it to them. I thought Stevie G never got going and tended to sit rather than making his usual driving runs forward. So there was no link from Midfield to Attack except Harry. Crouch held the ball up well and got the flick ons, but Cisse was either running the wrong way or 10 yards off the pace. Gutted to lose it like we did, but the longer it stays 0-0 away from home that is the risk you run. We need to learn lessons from this for the future. And i'm sure Rafa will be replacing maybe both Cisse and Morientes in the summer.

I reckon from where the ref was it probably looked a certain penalty, especially with him being clean through on goal. Hindsight is a remarkable thing though It wasn't a penalty.

The sub would be cancelled and the red card would assume priority you would think. Can't you also be sent off after the game too?

Opinions please? I thought he played last night exactly how Rafa wants him to play and his ball retention and touch seems to improved greatly since the summer. Maybe he does have a future here after all if he can accept the rotation policy employed amongst the strikers. Class finish for his goal.

Michael Owen is the Past, same as Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, John Barnes etc Remember them as heroes for what they did for Liverpool FC but for f***s sake its gettin tedious now .... They never announce press conferences on sky ... they usually just say we'll hear from rafa benitez after the break or at 1.30. If they have announced a press conference then it may be something juicy! Or am i talking s**** hahaha!
