  1. Kenny has the look of an eagle, his eyes miss nothing.
  2. Thoroughly enjoyed that.
  3. No mate, without doubt he is a Desperado!
  4. Been thinking about this. Apart from the groundshare bit, obviously. If we're not going to renovate Anfield, we may as well pull out and relocate within the city, wherever affords us the maximum potential. Anfield is f***ed, but I think Liverpool can move on.
  5. The most disappointing thing about FSG for me, so far, has been their complete avoidance of any communication/dialogue in relation to this issue, substituted with the sop of the utterly bizarre Supporters Committee.
  6. Not only the above, but it also moved media attention away from Gerrard's arrest.
  7. What? Ray " sorry about that lads, I couldn't quite reach that ball" Houghton. Much, much better.
  8. Whether it was a political statement or not, Kenny clearly stated that Suarez was bought to partner Torres, not replace him. On another note, can you just imagine Suarez playing up front with a fully fit/motivated Torres (2007-2009 version)? A latter day Dalglish and Rush. Phenomenal.
  9. Find it curious that he always refers to the team/players as 'they' and not 'we'. Another example of his humility?
  10. In for Eden Hazard, according to that jeremy-lfc on Twitter. Don't know if he is a credible source though?
  11. Bit of a design flaw there, NYR. The first decent wave that hits that ship past Holyhead and those on the viewing deck below are going to get soaked.
  12. And I for one resented them doing that. I suppose nobody can say whether it was a genuine attempt at footballing camaraderie, or whether somebody thought that it may assist them by taking the sting out of an already fragile crowd? Without sounding ungrateful, there was no need. It was a reminder to a lot of people who really didn't need reminding.
  13. Immaculately observed in 'The Crosby'. Nothing was said beforehand, the pub just naturally fell into silence, and there were a lot of people in there. I've never seen that before. Odd experience, but touching. The same in other ale houses?
  14. AAAH! Never meant it like that!
  15. In my defence! 1. The Spanish was fine; 2. He had already actually crossed over the pedestrian crossing by the time I shouted to him, so we can rule that theory out. Granted he may have thought that I was calling 'Please don't go' as in 'Please don't walk away from me right now' and he thought I was a potential crazy stalker, but then he would surely be confusing me with fyds, no? Also, the user name may be confusing some here, as I found out at the 'Hodgson's gone' piss up at The Croc. Some seem to think my user name is the actual true name of a female Liverpool fan. As others on here (Pam?), can testify, this is absolutely not the case! To these people I say: 'Know your Liverpool legends middle names, sonny'.
  16. FWIW, I believe that Blackpool place the blame for the farce in January fairly and squarely on the shoulders of Adam's agent (Moyes' brother?). The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but think darker forces were pulling strings back in Jan, not wanting Adam to come to us. Tony Barratt also reported Adam and his agent having a furious stand up row in public on the evening of 31/01/2011.
  17. As I was driving out of Costco yesterday evening , I saw Pepe walking in, on his tod. As I had to stop at the pedestrian crossing for him, I seized the opportunity to say "Please don't go", in Spanish, out of the window. He smiled, didn't say anything, and carried on walking. Make of that what you will!
  18. Seconded. Also felt that singing his name at the ground yesterday allowed, for want of a better word, 'closure' with him after the disgraceful way he was replaced.
  19. "And there are red and white scarves, of Liverpool. And red and white bobble hats, of Liverpool. And red and white rosettes, of Liverpool. And nothing else. And the sun shines now." Peter Jones, Sport on Two, 15/04/89. RIP the 96.
  20. Didn't Commoli also promise not to raid St Etienne for players?
  21. Saying that Mark Kennedy looked destined for greatness, after he cracked a 25 yard thunderbolt against the bar on his Anfield debut. Oh well.. Oh, and defending the signing of Diouf after we let Anelka go. Blind loyalty to Ged there, in retrospect.
  22. Didn't that season coincide with the Anfield pitch being the worst in living memory? Square patches of sand all over the shop, for some reason.
  23. Pretty much my take on it. Unfortunately, their No.7 had the beating of our left back. Not really sure how Flanagan stayed on the pitch - in fact, was he even booked?
  24. Didn't I read somewhere that Commoli watched him recently in an international friendly against Sierra Leone?
