my take on this isn't nice tbh. I've not read the whole thread, seen a few comments but thats it. I was really angry last night. In some of the articles i read before, the players seemed to be really up for this game and wanting "revenge" for the previous defeat. Great i thought, i knew rafa was going to play the "kids" or "fringe" players, even better. A good time for experience and hopefully a good run in a cup for them, coupled with some experienced players. With knowing that we have bigger things to play for, i fully understand that and am not really that bothered we are knocked out. however, this was a chance for the people knocking on rafa's door, players that want to make the step up, players that are wanting more football did nothing, absolutely nothing to show any of us, supporters, club staff that they are ready, willing and hungry for success. What gripes me is not loosing, i can take a loss, i can take a beating, but when there are people who have spent a fortune sometimes, in getting to a game so far away from liverpool (i've done the trip to anfield from where i am and it costs me a bomb) to see a bunch of players not even try, make stupid errors, angers me a lot. Like i say, i'm not dissapointed we are knocked out, i'd rather play for the champions league and league, however, we have some people in the squad that were capable (or so i thought) of providing a cup run together and build confidence, and pride in wearing the shirt and giving the fans something to be proud of. Thats what i'm more dissapointed in from a personal point of view. anyway, Bolton at the weekend
