Sydney reveal interest in Fowler Sydney FC are considering a move for Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler. The 31-year-old is on a one-year deal at Anfield and is not expected to be offered a new contract in the summer. "He's been discussed at boardroom level. He's out of the top drawer," Sydney chief executive George Perry told Fox Sports. "Although an official approach has not yet been made, it goes without saying that if he did come to Australia it would be a huge signing for us." Sydney had considered an approach for West Ham's 41-year-old striker Teddy Sheringham but were put off by his age. MLS outfit New England Revolution, managed by ex-Liverpool ace Steve Nicol, have already revealed their interest in Fowler, who has started only seven games for Liverpool this season. But Fowler's agent George Scott said the striker is unlikely to consider a move to the United States.
