I am a tad disappointed that once again we didnt fare very well in the transfer market. Although i think that Mereiles and Joe Cole will prove to be good acquisitions for us, I think we could have done better even with the limited amount of money available. Disappointed that we signed Brad Jones for around 2.3mill and sold Cavaillieri (who inmho is a better keeper) for only 1.3mill Disappointed that we included two of our most promosing youngsters in kalanic and dalla vale in the konchesky deal. Still think we could have signed someone better than konchesky. Disapponted that we did not recoup more money from the masch transfer. Disappointed that we didint manage to add another quality player even on loan, like many other clubs did, most notably AC Milan, and to a lesser extent even Birmingham and Newcastle. Galliani of AC milan takes all the plaudits for me. He managed to lure ibrahimovic and robinho to milan, paying only pennies upfront in the respective loan deals. they managed to build a strong squad without splashing virtually nothing.

I cant understand why we dont ever bring anyone on loan... Ben Arfa - newcastle loan, Ibrahimovic - Milan loan, Aquilani - juventus loan etc Why not inquire on the possibility of benzema on loan or vdv on loan...real madrid want to get rid... Why???

I really dont know why we are looking for a striker. We should buy a pacey winger instead of a striker. Torres likes to play as a lone striker with Gerrard behind him and that s where he s most effective. As for back up strikers we already have Kuyt, Jovanovic and Ngog. As for Carlton Cole - he s s***. Cant understand why we r giving Fulham, Dalla Valle in the Koncehesky deal. 3mill should be more than enough for Konch On a more positive note I think Mereiles will prove to be a brilliant signing.

Think Hicks and Gillete are manc fans and bought our club with the sole aim to destroy it completely.

I agree. that s his main problem...CONFIDENCE! If he just manages to bottle it up and have more confidence in himself like martin kelly who always amazes me at how confident the youngster is, ryan s performance would improve immensly

Our main problem is scoring goals...We lack creativity and confidence in the final third, bar Gerrad who tires to make something happen... Our flanks are our biggest defeciency attacking-wise...Neither of our wide players has the confidence to try beat his man and make something happen, bar Babel who rarely succeeds.
